Harlan Co. had some major early turnovers that just took the air right out of their sails. And they just couldn't recover.

JC could have hung 50+ on the Black Bears tonight. JC had no reason to show anything to the remaining teams. But for real, JC's defense played lights out tonight. I can't remember JC getting a running clock on any team in the 1st half.... but not just any team, but a ranked team in 5A.

Boys that's a great win for us! But fact of the matter is it doesn't matter a hill of beans now shortly we will enter into the part of the schedule that matters! Another district championship and what I hope to be a much longer run in the playoffs then what we are accustomed to! But man you gotta love some bragging rights and I'm loving it even more for those lacking the respect we deserve because "we ain't playing no one"...

JC will destroy both Ironton and Ashland,but i dont think Belfry will be undefeated when the 2 meet,hope they are but a tough game with TN team on the road..

I talked to some people from Ashland this week, and they all said that both Ironton and Ashland are down from their usual status.

JC is ahead of Belfry right now and by a decent clip. That is saying something because Belfry is legit.

Pirates have a chance to close the gap by Week 10, but this may be the best Eagle team during Matney's tenure by the time playoffs roll around.

And not one person has mentioned that Harlan Co. had to start, I think all but one kickoff possession from their own 20, because almost every kickoff was sent deep into the end zone. That will be a huge weapon for the next 3 years.

JC and Belfry is always a slugfest , reminds me of two brothers fighting in the backyard . Both teams are good this year with speed and will smack you in the mouth . With that said I think JC will take it at Belfry
