Lawrence County 48 Breathitt County 26

LC couldn't stay in the game with 'Set or BoCo this season or last season. The BHS defense sucked and the receivers were getting balls on one hops or two feet over their heads. How does one overthrow 6'1"- 6'5" kids the whole game? BHS was lucky they were playing a mediocre team and not a good team.

Looks like LC lost to the only good team they've played. And they have given up 26 points a game. So, I wouldn't put too much into the defense just yet.

Just being real IMO. Can you say that Breathitt is a good team by what they have shown? As Breathitt fans we are realistic and looking at this without "blinders" you have to see that this years Breathitt team is less than average.

You have to remember LC is coming off a 2 win season!! This is big step in the direction of LC's program. A win against a good or bad team is a good confidence boost to the players.

Hazard I agree could beat us on any given friday but Somerset I'm not so sure. We will know a lot about just how much Hazard has improved after the game with Fairview. Im not big on comparing common opponents, but I do think you can tell a little bit from it. We gave Fairview all they wanted and had a few chances to win that game. Fairview is a very fast, athletic team and they can beat you by putting up more points faster then you can if the defense cant get it done.

Factsonly Wrote:Sorry but Breathitt lost all talent last year. Well most of it anyway! They had about 18 seniors and most of them started. This is a rebuilding year for Breathitt untelling when they'll have another good team. Just wish we had this coaching staff with last years team we'd probably won state Oh well!:thanks:

???Really!?!?!? So you don't think the coach who got you those championships and made your program what it is, got about all he could get out of that team last year? If you had coach Saban from Alabama last year I still don't think you could beat Belfry and Belfry couldn't even get past Central. :lame:

And who the heck are you?.............."O wait" now I remember, you are the one and the same who said that our bark was worse then our bite. :Shaking:
If Breathitt is as young as you say they are and lost as much talent as you say they did, then add in the fact that you lost a legend at coach, so what did you expect from this year. This Lawrence team is better then you want to give credit for and Breathitt is better then you think IMO. Don't you have a senior dominated O line or D line. What all of you have got to understand is that Lawrence has had a few very bad years and we are very excited in how this team is playing. We were super young last year, about as young of a Lawrence team that I have ever seen. We had like 6 or 7 seniors and that is low for a 3a school and the talk is that we could be in 2a if things keep going the way they are with student population next year. We had freshman and sophomors starting all over the place but it is all starting to pay off. Our play is better, our numbers are better and things are looking up for this program. I think the scary thing is that this Bulldog team is still pretty young all in all. I think our biggest loss for next year will be our QB and an athlete like that is hard for any team to replace, but we have a very capable kid who a lot of people can't wait to see take the job. All in all I think the future looks bright for the Dawgs right now.

You my friend clearly didn't watch this game because there isn't a receiver on the team that is 6'5" and there was about 2 balls that were overthrown on hitches because the corners and outside linebackers crashed down on the receivers. Most of the balls that were thrown hit the receivers in the hands and IMO if it hits them in the hands it should be a caught ball. If breathitts defense was better Lc wouldn't have even been in the game because their pass coverage is ****! You need to stop running your mouth on the Internet and get your fat, lazy *** off the couch and go spend about $6 of your welfare check and actually go watch a game!!:welcome:

Congrats to the Bulldogs on the win. Good luck to the Bobcats going forward. As a fan of LC it feels sweet getting a win over Breathitt. I don't care if it's a down year etc. Breathitt fans should take that as a compliment.

I agree with this because Breathitt was doing pretty much what they wanted with the pass in the 1st quarter, but then they put some athlete's in the defensive backfield in the 2nd and that pretty much stopped. I noticed that when Dalton was put at safety the deep pases pretty much stopped. I don't think they wanted any part of throwing in that young man's direction. I think if we go up against any more pass happy teams we will do this same thing because from what I could tell it worked.

Lawrence County was 5-7 last year, not 2 wins lol. Breathitt county did have a 6'5 receiver in Noble #9 he is listed that way on the roster. They also had another receiver listed at 6'3. None of this matters, the game is over. Lc won and Breathitt lost. Next game please.

Have you seen LC's field? That is a big part of the reason passes were overthrown because the ground by the sidelines is 2 feet lower than the middle of the field. Thats the reason Lc runs the ball and they have an advantage over any team that runs a spread offense.
#45
Yes I think we all have seen LC's field, and we all agree it needs to be re-done and I'm sure the school, coaching staff, players etc would love to have turf or new field but the there isn't much money so what can you do? So does Breathitt have the best field lol?

This takes the best excuse ever award by a mile! :hilarious:

Congrats on the win Lawrence County, you guys have a solid football team this year. If our defense doesn't improve drastically, I can see us finishing below .500 this year, and not winning the district, which would be an embarrassment in itself.

Congrats to Lawerence for the win, they have a nice club..No disrespect intended but they can't come close to competing with Belfry...As for Breathitt things are bad and getting worse. There is no leadership on the field, the defensive is terrible, the offense is one demential and mediocre at best.Breathitt had around 50 fans and the cheerleaders didn't even make the trip.I almost feel sorry for Coach Moore. He is in a tough spot no doubt,he was a great player and is a good offensive guy...Being the head coach at Breathitt with all that has happened is not an easy task....There is more talent on this team than most people think and it's up to the coaching staff to motivate them and make adjustments that give the team the best chance to win even if this goes against what you like to do..

When's the last time LC beat Belfry? And how many state championships has LC played? I rest my case. :hilarious:
