You guys are a funny bunch. You are fine and dandy if an outsider "trolls" to come on here and say something good about the jackets. But they become a "troll" if they come on here and tell the facts, such as you guys have over hyped this bunch. This is what we tried to tell you last year when they were undefeated as the marshmellow killers. Then in came a real team, Hazard, and out went the jackets. It is a different level when you start talking about getting to state. The teams that make it to state are the teams that play a very good 3a, 4a, 5a or 6a team and win. Not the ones that play these teams and get beat. Look at Raceland, Beechwood, Frankfort, Russellville and yes Mayfield. These teams are setting teams from higher classifications on notice that 1a is not bad just because we don't have as many players as they do. If you can do that and win some of those games, then you can say that you have a good chance of making. If you cannot, wake up and realize that you have a lot to work out and improve upon before you should even think about making such statements.

So your point is that because your team is better than ours that you have the right to be a jerk? Wake up fella, every fan base has jerks and you sir are one of the biggest.

mysonis55 Wrote:Here we go again. The first loss was because they had to wear orange and set on the sunny side. Now they lose again. This time because of the officials and the qb came back too soon. He threw 5 or 6 ints because he couldn't plant. I bet the fact that he couldn't plant had nothing to do with the d line in his face. I bet the ints had nothing to do with the db's.

A sound beating is a sound beating. However, Sizemore's injury likely had a lot to do with the picks. 4 years ago in the State Finals Somerset's quarterback was dealing with a similar injury and had almost the same result. Sure, the Wayne County and, in our case Paducah Tilghman, defensive backs had a big role. However, when a kid sees a throw that his brain tells him his body can make and then his body doesn't get the same force behind it then interceptions happen. In our game I saw passes that were reguarly made in other games underthrown of come out way slower than normal. Sizemore has a gun, if he couldn't get enough on his throws it would be a big factor.

This game will make Williamsburg better in the long run, instead of playing Jellico!
Good Luck Jackets on rest of your season!

Walt, I know you love your team and I am not trying to dash your hopes. I however was at that very game. You could have had the Sindelar kid from Caldwell at that game and PT would probably have had 3 of those ints. Look back at the film. The pressure and speed up front caused most of those. PT had speed all over the field, much like every other year. I understand the injury may have had something to do with 1 or 2 of the throws before he realizes what is wrong. I do also understand though, that a better team with better team speed has a lot more to do with it. I really feel for the Wburg fans because they are a year behind where they should be. Had they beefed up their schedule last year then the learning curve would be much better. I was saying last year that this may be their year. I now think that I may have been off by a year. If memory serves me correctly they have most of their bunch back next year. If that is the case, that may be the time to get it right. I think Pikeville and Raceland have a much more physical team and are further along in the right direction this year. I think Hazard still has potential to be the dark horse though. I hope the Sizemore kid heals quickly because he needs to get back to form in order to continue to get some possible scouting.

The one that the Forrest kid made on the deep ball was simply an amazing play by a big time athlete and the first one that was a pick six came on a screen and was a great read. Two of the other ones came out as ducks and it wasn't because he was getting hit. He just couldn't get anything on his throws. Against average teams it might not matter as much but against quality defensive players it can be deadly. I didn't see the game last night so it could have been pressure or ill-advised throws. I'm just saying when so much of your offense depends on the quarterback's ability to keep plays alive and my precision throws an injured ankle can be big.

No the only problem I have is fans talking about a play where a kid got hurt and you made light of it with a comment about excuses and the ref. I think that is pretty shady.

The Briar Jumpers had nothing to be ashamed of there. They just ran into a very talented team that had just realized how good they were. They had a defensive coordinator that left the next year. He was outstanding and had lots of experience at shutting down great passing attacks. I can't remember the name of the school but he coached on a 4a state championship team, when there were only four classes. PT could really use him back.

myson is a low class troll. Maybe when his son gets hit with a helmet when his has been pulled off he will have respect. Nobody wants to see kids hurt but to see an ass gloat when a kid gets hurt pushes the edges. Show a little class scumbag.

Sorry 64, I was comparing the affect Sizemore's ankle injury had to a similar injury that Somerset's quarterback had 4 years ago in the State Finals.

I know we can beat Wayne just don't think you guys realize what's happening here in little old CORBIN. Gut what you seen tonight wasn't even the tip of the iceberg these kids are for real! Just don't think we should be talking a state titles, there is a hell of game still yet to be played my friends!!!

Im not disagreeing at all.
After seeing Corbin play, I feel comfortbale that there the third best team coming out of the west behind Wayne and Central. I think Corbin can play with Central. I havent seen Wayne personally, but from all accounts there the team to beat in that district until Corbin proves otherwise. If im not mistaken, that game comes in two weeks. I think neither team will have a hard time with Bell County to be completely honest. Thats the weakest Bell team ive probably ever seen in person, and ive seen a lot of Bell teams.
I think only three teams have a chance in the west and thats Central, Wayne, and Corbin while Belfry will breeze by the weak 3A east. One of those four teams will be your state champion.
Youve got my vote Corbin, keep up the good work.

E you should know. I bet you are an expert on scum bags. I like how once again you try to twist me saying something about Wburg fans using the refs as excuse into me talking about kids. For your info I take that real personal a--hole. I have coached 8 years of youth football, about 20 years of youth baseball, 2 years youth soccer and about 5 years youth basketball. I donate to many different things for kids and am currently raising my third.

Find one single post where someone other than you mentioned the refs having an affect on the outcome of the game. You have no right calling anyone names after you turned a post about a child getting hurt into a rant about using refs as an excuse.

You guys came out with the excuse of the color of jerseys and side lines before the first loss and the after this one immediately started complaining about refs. The all make mistakes. I have 3 close friends that are refs. They can't call everything to satisfy the fans. They also are told that they shouldn't blow the whistle so soon. They had nothing to do with a kid getting hurt.

As a WC fan the game panned out as a 3A team versus a 1A at home. Williamsburg is great team. I hope they stay healthy and come out of the east.

Excuses, excuses, Wayne is the better team. PERIOD!

"You guys" was one person that even we pay no attention to. I guess it's hard for you to understand that since for Mayfield you are that guy. You aren't the only person who has volunteered to help kids for years or he only guy that knows several refs personally. When are you going to figure out that your opinion isn't the only one that matters.

I didn't say my opinion was the only one. I just feel that I should be able to voice my opinion and therefore will. I served as did my father, my brothers and son, so that we can have our opinion. You don't have to like my opinion, but I am basing it upon facts. Believe me, you nor anyone else is going to intimidate me into not voicing it. So you reply and I will rebut. I got all the time in the world to do this.

So, in your "opinion" it's ok to make light of a kid getting hurt by making fun of his teams fans?

mysonis55 I was having fun about the jersey, sun and sideline with some of my north laurel friends I will admit to that but that's all I will admit to :biglmao:

First of all you were not at the game so you have no idea what happened during that play. The fact if the matter is the whistle was not blown when my son was hit helmet to helmet nor was is blown when he was face masked and his helmet came off. The sideline ref was right on the play and wasn't even the one who blew his whistle. I went back and read every post on this forum and no one has used the excuse that the refs cost us this game. Wayne County was the better team last night hands down. I have said before that we will take our loss and learn from it but I for one am tired of mysonis55 putting words in our mouths on this game. Thank God my son was not badly injured by the hit without his helmet and will play again in two weeks. I have never made excuses for a loss and everyone knows that I tell my son and all of our boys to suck it up hurt or not and leave it all on the field. Jacket Pride.

MYSONIS11 and I am proud if him and all of the Jackets win or lose!

Don't worry about this game. Wayne is IMO the favorite in 3a this year and I think they will be the team to dethrone Central this year. What you need to worry about is 1a teams like Hazard who is young but starting to come together, Pikeville who is up and coming with some good talent, Fairview who has got to work on the defense, but with speed to burn, can beat you with offense if you can't put 60 or 70 up. Then you have Raceland a team that is flying under the radar by a lot of people this year. IMO Raceland has the most offensive balance and the best defense of all the teams I just mentioned and they are my pick for the 1a team to make it out of the east but they are under the spotlight by some for lacking mental toughness and that could be their undoing. All in all I think this is the most competitive 1a has been in the east for quite some time and who ever makes it out will be tested and could give Mayfield a much better game then what we got last year.

Jacket4life, I apologize. I meant nothing towards your son. I will pray for him and I do not want to see any injuries. It did appear that this was just another excuse to me and apparently to others as I am not the only one that has commented. I promise you that I do not want any kids injured. But there are always complaints about officials, no matter the sport. I am sure they did not miss this on purpose. Some just don't see everything. They really take it hard when they watch films and see stuff they miss as well. I cannot recall the screen name but you all really did have a fan on here before complaining that y'all didn't have a chance because you were made to wear orange jerseys and stand on the sunny sidelines. So, when I read this, I guess you could say I had a flashback.
