I do agree that Belfry, P-burg, and South Floyd are at the top. Also, it seems that the 57th District is beating each other down, so the opportunistic 58th District comes in and just knocks them out. I think ultimately the Regional Championship will fall somewhere in the 58th, and more than likely it will go to South Floyd or Prestonsburg.

How can you rank JC at #3 when they split with SC on the season.Lawerence Co. is not a #5 team.They lost to SC and SC is only 8-11 so fsr this year.You have some kind of wacky rating system!!!!:lol:

Well i have somthing to say about Belfry they have only beaten 3 teams worth bragging about and thats Perry co.(got really lucky) and Morgon co. and Pike central.
This team is nothing without matt maynard they only beat Piarst by 21 in belfry! Pburg, SF's JV's could beat piarist varsity ! This team has had a softer schedule than 70% of the rest of the region! But i'll still give them 1 on my list due to there wins and losses !

I read your post with interest in your analogy of that Pburg only has two quality wins. Lets see, they beat Johnson Central beat by 16, they beat South Floyd by 18, beat Magoffin at Magoffin, beat SC by 10, beat Louisville Holy Cross by 16, beat Wolfe County at WC, and lets speak about thier losses, lost to Morgan in double overtime, lost to June Buchannan by 2, lost to Shelby Valley by 1 @ SV, and concerning the win against PCC, they had two players that stepped up and combined for over 40 points which would not have happened if Brad Lowe was in the game. Oh yes, check out the Cantrell ratings, based on a very intricate computer model that considers schedule, wins, losses, etc. Belpry has one of the best w/l records in the region but still ranked only 5th, I believe thier weak schedule has something to do with it. Just my opinion and observation.

Point well taken Showstopper, but the 50point victory over David and the fact that David was on the schedule skewed that a little. But I agree, both BL and Pburg lost some close games that they could and should have won.

It's close to call, Belfry and Prestonsburg both have some questionable losses.
