Perry county central @ Johnson central 9/13
#1
:welcome: prediction
#2
Johnson Central by 3 touchdowns. They have shown the ability to light the scoreboard up. Perry is struggling early in the season.

Will not be that close.

running clock!

Perry Central does throw the football, so they'll put up some points on us. I don't know about running clock...but it won't be far from that. They can't stop our running attack unless we self destruct and fumble it all over the place, and I think we'll get to their QB enough to slow the air attack down. Make it 49-19.

Johnsonville rolls...

I font know much about PCC but JC is pretty solid. Don't think PCC will be able to keep close. No disrespect to Perry but I don't think they can keep pace with the JC offense
JC 60
PCC 21

Blowout JC wins in a laugh-er

Johnson central 58 perry co 00 truth hurts Confusederiously:
#10
JC 63
Perry 12

This will be ugly and ugly quick. JC by a BUNCH!!!!!

Matney loves to run up the score. I think Johnson hung up 70 on a team in scrimmage a couple weeks ago. Id be surprised if Johnson doesn't put a least 60 on the board. The poor Commodores are in for a long time.
#13
Given Matney's propensity for trying to not trying to run up the score I'd say he'll have the offense take a knee on a late PAT and squeak by the Commodores 62-14.
#14
Too bad this game isn't at Perry Central this year, I'd like to see their new field and stadium.
#15
JC - 54
PCC - 21

PCC scores on JC's varsity once and twice on the JV & Frosh squads.
#16
PCC WILL score. Matney will sub kids on D until he makes sure of that. He doesn't shut any team out.

And again, we have discussed in another thread he does NOT run up the score. He COULD. Believe me, there have been games we could have been in triple digits in his time at JC. He does not. I don't think most people outside the progra. Realize just how much time the you g kids get in games...until you ask yourself, how do they keep reloading??

Johnson Central 52
Perry 6

I really hope that PCC challenges JC this week. JC is good, but I'm not sure they're are ready for a battle tested Harlan County team at this point in the season. JCs offense appears to be clicking and set, but I'm not sure Matney has the defense where it needs to be.

Defense is further along this year than in year's past. Sure a few things need attention but their starting 11 defensive players have yet to be scored on in their two scrimmages (Cabel Midland and Fairview) and their two regular season games. After JC got up 14-0 early on Saturday mass substitutions began on the DL and in their secondary. I look for this to be a much more competitive game than our first two.

I didn't mean to imply that the defense was not good. I believe they are. My point was that they have yet to be game tested. They are also very young for a JC team. IMO they can and will improve more than the offense over the course of the season.

Johnson Central wins!!

What else needs to be said..
#23
As much as I wasnt to see Perry win, I just dont see it happening this year.
Get off the tracks because the train is coming. Hope Commodores keep in respectable. Just think they will have a hard time playing smash mouth with a big strong running team.
#24
JC's D will not be game tested in this one.
#25
Johnson Central by as many as they want.
#26
JC needs to be tested in the rest of our games this season.

I love JC. I've watched several of our players grow up. We have the toughest kids you can ask for. But as Rocky Balboa said.... "It ain't about how hard you're hit, it is about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward, how much can you take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done."

Oh yeah.... My name is Alex Green, just incase anybody has forgotten. I don't hide behind a screen name.

We'll know a little more after Harlan County and trips to Ironton and Belfry. And there's always Ashland. They never really go away, even when they're down a little...
#28
JC will be battle tested with that schedule.
#29
So far, we have 2 blowout wins over Holy Trinity, Canada and Noblesville, IN.

Perry Country Central, Boyd County, Rowan County and Greenup County all Should be wins. Not saying those 4 teams aren't good, but if JC plays the way they can, then we Should pull away in the 2nd half.

Ironton, OH., Belfry, Ashland, Harlan County will be the 4 hardest teams on the regular season schedule.

I don't want to hear anything about how good PCC is or isn't. I don't want to hear how overmatched they are this week and all that B.S. Two years ago they shouldn't have been on the same field as JC and then they proceeded to hand it to JC pretty good. Don't take this one lightly JC. No need for any repeats of the past
