Johnson Central vs Noblesville Lions 9/7

:welcome:Who wins

There's a legitimate chance that this could be the biggest mismatch we've played in in a looooong time. Like the last couple of Apple Bowls, or back when we used to play Morgan County in Coach Musick's days. Could get ugly early.

63-0

JC will name the score. Starters may not play after the first. Worse mismatch of the Matney Era here at JC. Guess that is what happens when schools decide they don't wanna play you last minute.

Let me get this straight, JCC had a team drop them late and then they picked up this game as a last resort? If so, why are you complaining? Do you realize that not having a game is far worse? No game means no gate for the school and no playing experience for the players. Granted it might be a mismatch but it could also mean valuable playing time for your younger players. Who was the team that dropped you?

The Lions have a nice team. They have some nice skill players as well as an All-State QB candidate leading their offense. I refuse to underestimate their ability after seeing them on tape. They like to get their athletes in single coverage to force the defense to come up and be good open field tacklers. They are a 60-40 passing team and when they do run they like to pound it outside the tackles. Should be a good test to prepare the guys for Perry Central the following week.

I'm with you on this one man. What an absolute joke of a game. This will be a slaughter why would you even play this game?

In case anyone else is wondering who in the world Noblesville is: http://www.maxpreps.com/high-schools/nob...hedule.htm

After looking at their schedule and opponents, this game will have a result similar to their game against Holy Trinity.

Johnson Central - Whatever they want
Noblesville - 6?

So Matney scoured the country far and wide to replace a late dropped game, and the best he came up with was this bunch of rag-tag Bad News Indiana homeschoolers. Simply amazing. Did Sacred Heart Academy not have an open date?

Gate or no gate this game should not be played.

Sheldon Clark was the team that dropped us.

You should probably worry about Pikeville tomorrow night. Once Sheldon Clark dropped (end of May) numerous teams have been called and open dates were posted in the states of Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, Tennessee, and Kentucky. No one stepped up. Sheldon Clark dropped, Bourbon County did not return a call or email about playing, Breathitt was a no go, and Shelby County said no. One team, I'll leave nameless, replied, "Yes we are open and no we do not want to play you." Not much you can do when a team that had been scheduled for months drops you a month before season started. Most teams have their schedule filled.

Tomcat Pride said it best though, this is better than no game at all. If this was a baseball game or a basketball game it wouldn't be a big deal since they play so many. However, you get one game a week in football and it would be an injustice to the kids for not playing a full schedule. Shoot, you should appluad a team like them for stepping up and playing regardless of the final score. At least they had the guts to.

Hey buddy one of your own members(Diogenes) was the first one to bring up how awful the team was. Not sure why you're singling me out. Don't worry I'm very worried about Pikeville tomorrow night but thanks for the concern.

They'll probably be at least as much of a challenge as this year's Sheldon Clark team would've been. I can see why they wouldn't want any of JC. I mean, besides the obvious agonizing butthurt. Those bros must be mad.

Why would we schedule it? Because 10 games is better than 9, and nobody else would play us, as stated above. I certainly don't see Paintsville stepping up and offering to play us anymore...

Let me be clear: I wasn't complaining at all. I'm happy we have a game, period, even if the JV kids end up playing the last three quarters. There's no substitute for live game action. But the original poster was asking for thoughts on how the game would go...and realistically, that's what I'd expect based on their schedule and scores. At least they have the stones to come to Eagle Field and suit up with us when a number of other, closer schools weren't interested.

Wow!! Is it really that hard for JC to schedule teams from Kentucky, OH or WV?
#19
Young kids will get a bunch of snaps. Hopefully no injuries.

I'm amazed that they could find someone to play as late in the game as Sheldon Clark dropped them.
