If Hazard could tackle a little better this would be a better game. I lost count of how many yards after contact Pikeville got just in the 1st quarter. The kid number 8 for Hazard is a beast and I would love to know what year he is in. That is the kind of back I would want on my team. I made a prediction that Raceland would be the best 1a team from the east early in the year. After this game and what I see I believe that Raceland is the best 1a team in the east at this point right now but a lot can change from now to the playoffs.

Pikeville is getting a lot of home cooking from the refs. I turn it off when Pikeville block in the back and hold one the same td play, and they didn't call either one of them.

Disagree. Think the refs did a decent job. Missed a few calls each way but overall consistent.

Hazard players need to better hold their composure. Way too many penalties committed by the Bulldogs. This was definitely the difference in the game.

Both teams will get better as the season rolls on.

I agree #8 was a beast. Basically ran over any Pikeville player he wanted. Panthers got smarter in the second half and went for his legs on the tackle. Also Hudson is a freakish athlete for the Bulldogs.

Pikevilles defense will have to get much better. Hazards defense needs to get much better. Offenses are fine. Pikeville was the better team tonight but the east will be wide open to see who comes out. Pikeville has two excellent backs in Hall and Black. Estep is fast as lightining. Estep needs to have more touches to me the kid is fast.

Penalties hurt Hazard but not 1% as much as 62 points did. Truth is Pikeville is the better team.:truestory:

Congrats to the Panthers! Wow! What a game. You Hazard fans can be proud of your team, and especially one Brandon Jones. This kid would be an asset for any football team! Only way to tackle him, would be by the ankles, which is what the Panther D figured out in the 2nd half. Hard fought game, and congrats to both.
