Prayer Request for a young Tomcat
#1
My son was admitted to KDMC tonight. He was perfectly fine when he got home from school today (Kindergarten at Poage Elementary). For some reason his fever shot up to over 104 and he's having seizures. All the tests they're running are saying he is perfectly fine, but he is clearly not. He is going into is 2nd year of Ashland JFL football and loves being a tomcat. So if everyone has a free moment please pray that this is nothing for him. His name is Stephen Jones and he is in Kindergarten at Poage. Thank You all.

You got it Justin. Hope all is well with young Stephen, and I pray they find out what is causing his issues. As a parent there is nothing that will make you feel small and helpless like when your little one is sick. Prayers for all of you.
#3
Prayers are sent' may the Lord heal your boy.

Praying for your son, Justin. Our daughter had some health issues at times when she was little (some serious) we know what it's like when there's no clear cut answers. However, we do know prayer is the answer.

Prayers going up blessings coming!

Dear Father in Heaven, please bring Stephen home to his parents happy and healthy. I ask this in the name of your son Jesus, Amen!

About this time last year, one of our coaches had a premature baby..VERY premature.
They didn't give that baby very much hope, but she pulled through and is happy and healthy as we speak. I believe that miracle happened from prayer.

Pirate, there is nothing stronger than the power of prayer! You can believe that the Black Bear Nation will hold Stephen in their hearts, and will lift up prayers of healing for him.

I've oftentimes requested prayer on this web site, too. This BGR group will respond, you can believe that too!!!

Please keep us posted.

Hi Stephen from Paintsville ! We are praying for your speedy recovery and get you back on the field. God has a special place in his heart for little football players like you and we are asking him to take away your illness and look over your family in this time of need. We will be watching you perform in that Tomcat uniform in a few years, keep fighting like you do on the field. God bless you.

Hard to feel helpless when your young son is sick. I've been there and it is awful. Ruptured appendix and a week in the hospital touch and go at age 9. Bless you and prayers for your son for healing and comfort for yourself. Prayers of wisdom for the doctors to find the problem and solution.

Nothing in the world makes you feel more helpless than when a child is in pain. My daughter used to have seizures and would scare the crap out of us. But she finally outgrew them. With thoughts and prays from Knox county and the panther nation.

Lord please place your healing hand on this young man, grant him you peace and strength in this time. Please grant his parents your peace that surpasses our human understanding in Jesus Name I pray!

We are all praying for you, May GOD touch you and heal your little body.
Justin, you might call the Ashland Coach and see if a couple of the High School football players would come visit, if your son is allowed visitors. It is amazing what hope and encouragement can come from these "role models"
In the meantime, we will continue praying for Stephen.

Hey I just wanna update everyone... hes doing great today, kinda like yesterday never happened. There was no signs he is epileptic. He also had no bacterial or viral infections at all. So he literally got to come home a little bit ago with no medicines or restrictions. Even cleared to go back to school tomorrow. I do not take it lightly in saying I feel that all of your prayers played a major role in that. So thank you all!!!

This happened to me 40 years ago. I spent ten days in the hospital and as far as I know, they never did figure out why the whole thing happened. I felt bad on Easter Sunday and didn't say anything because spring break started the next day. By Tuesday or Wednesday of that week I was rushed to the hospital with a high fever and seizures. I remember laying on a table in the ER while they covered me with cold towels trying to bring my fever down, but that's all I remember. Whatever it was, I grew out of it, and years later my son showed the same tendency to have febrile seizures. I hope things turn out for your son the same way they turned out for us.
