Willaiamsburg @ Knoxville Halls
#1
Williamsburg showed that a lot of players could take the field at many different positions last week and showed that they had depth at many positions. How will the Jackets do on the road against halls?

i know it is a little early to make predictions having not seen the 1st team offense and defense take the field and play as a starting unit, but gotta start sometime.

Williamsburg 44 Knoxville halls 22 I really have no ideal but go Williamsburg :1:

Their win last year was against a team that lost to Knox Central KY 14-7. Their schedule is fairly difficult and they are a 5A school.

Just like Huey Lewis says:

"Cool is a rule, but sometimes bad is bad"

Actually I thought the same thing and double checked it....and it is NOT correct...it is Knox Co TN.....Knox Centreal in Barbourville played Karns.....

5A or not they are bad. 2-18 over two seasons is less than stellar....

Knox Central played 3 TN teams

Karns
Gatlinburg Pittman

Knox Central barely beat Karns in the pigskin at Corbin i believe.

Karns was Halls only win. Theres no doubt there a very good opponent for a 1A school like Wburg, but they should have kept Oneida. Much better.

Ill give a Wburg perspective on this prediction.

Wburg 87
Halls 0

Sizemore - 44/45 782 Yards 9 TD's and 0 INT's.

Williamsburg 34
Karns 13

since you have a total like of knowledge about tenn high school class or quality of hs football i will not insult myself by trying to educate a blank. Seriously you need to visit the williamsburg coaches office any one of about 5 assistants would be more than glad to not only teach you some basic football but that the schedule you printed on halls is a tough 5a football schedule, when the jackets take the field friday they will have a total of about 31 dressed, halls will dress 68 kids. Williamsburg will be what they consider their breather and very well could be. Having said that wburg one way or the other will not dissapoint their fans we love our team we get a show well worth the price of our ticket every friday night. Unlike other schools around us our kids are allowed to get every ounce out of their ability, our coaches do not limit them. Go by our consession stand during the game it will be void, you know why brair creek our fans are not sitting and watching the same old year in and year out run right right left run down the middle where the out come always depends on the coaches. Our fans are standing afraid to go p because they may miss the big play. And our out come always depends on the preformance of the most importiant part of our program the kids and our success never depends on how many games our neighbor looses we want them to overcome and win also. Brave i enjoy our friday nights we win every friday night scores are meaningless but we enjoy our kids. Don't forget why you are there and you to will understand success

Oneida would not schedule Williamsburg. You can't schedule people who do not want to play you. Oneida, Oliver Springs and Harlan dropped Williamsburg. Pineville is the only school outside of district Williamsburg plays that does not triple their enrollment. There are no schools in Kentucky that triple Whitley's enrollment. If they want to get close they can jump on X and Trinity. I'm sure the big schools in Cincinatti could find a place on their schedule for the mighty Colonels.

I would like to send riutg and coach brair creek a personell invitation, comes to halls friday night and get ready for the time of your life. Dalton sizemore willl keep you on your feet you never saw anything like it. Cory skylor and the boys will let you know why you came. And when it is over your fun will be measured in preformace of the kids and not the results of whitley co. Score we will be happy if they win. We now have a kicker who might even cut loose a 40 or 50 yarder it is in his range.

I would love to come watch the orange bees play at Karns, but i will be busy watching good football at Morristown.

You could make a weekend trip and stay in Gatlinburg. Burg plays Friday night and county Saturday night!

good luck. Halls i hope we both come home on a good start.

I would really love to have them schedule Mayfield. If for no other reason than so I could have bragging rights over 64. Personally, I think if you are going to schedule Tn teams you must go 4a or above or for a state champ or runner up in order to have any competition. They don't seem to put the same emphasis on their ball over there. We have scrimmaged the 3a state runners up for 4 of the past 5 years and have beaten them. We did have a real scare in 2009 against the 1a state champs of that year in Trousdale Co. We won that game and lost state though. I would think their are better teams on this side of the state line that would play.

Shame on you for making fun of a kid and putting a projected ridiculous stat line up. Seems you could have just put the score up but you wanted to single a kid out. That's pathetic and you are a disgrace for posting it. Shame on BGR for letting you moderate.

I doubt this will be an easy win for Williamsburg, Halls would compete very well with the 5A teams in this area. This should be a good game.

I honestly thought about riding down friday night and watching Wburg then staying with a cousin who lives in Knoxville and watching Whitley Saturday.

Still may do it.

Sounds like Wburg found a new crème puff to play. We are gonna have to start calling them the marshmellow killers.
#27
Halls could play with anyone in 5A in Eastern Kentucky. Maybe not Harlan and Bell but the rest they would be fine agaist. This is a quality opponent for Williamsburg.
#28
I have to agree, anytime a school the size of Williamsburg goes to Knoxville and plays a big school it is a quality opponent. This will be a good game for them. It will be a hard one to win. They bring 32 players into a group of 70 players, i don't care what their record is. Going to be a physical game. They will struggle with this team, and it is not because they are not good. I hope this game is on the pick list. Many may miss it. Good luck W'burg.

We can't all be football gods like Mayfield. Some teams are fortunate to be the largest school in their class. If they were in 2A the Bunnies would give them a whipping.

If you really believe this, you are underestimating Mayfield.
