Does anybody know the score or how paintsville looked

Paintsville impressed me. They were down 22-7going into the fourth quarter and they rallied to come back and win 23-22.

Without number 15 and Lewis Co. sitting their starters midway through the third, this isn't even a discussion. Reality is bitch to most and you saw it last night. Best to the Tigers this season, the coach has surrounded himself with daddy's and there is your recipe for another disastrous season.

So you were up and sat your starters and Paintsville I'm sure didn't sub anyone.
Did Paintsville make the come back vs the jv?

That is correct FNL, best to you guys this year. You guys have some really good freshmen talent

TB, you must have watched a different game than everybody else I've talked to including coaches from other schools who were there. If Lewis Co let Paintsville come back and beat them because they had their JV in, that sounds like a coaching error on their part. Why would you want to start your season by letting a 1A school beat you like that? Kash did a great job last night and it would be foolish to even consider using him at qb. Looked like the change at center paid off as well. Lemaster will be effective as tackle and Howard did a good job at center. Miller had a stellar game as well as Phelps and the rest of the Tiger team.A win to start with is good for any team. Good luck to these boys.

I thought sitting your starters and letting other guys get an opportunity is exactly what scrimmage games were for ?!?
Can't believe you are talking about starting the season out with a win. Because this isn't the season. It's preseason and has almost zero impact on the season.

Tigers substituted players throughout the game. There was a scoreboard with scores posted so whoever had the most points wins whether its a practice or a game. Ask the players if they like to lose in a scrimmage. Pretty sure the answer will always be no. Is it so hard for people like you and TB to just let them enjoy a good start? Apparently so.

I can see your logic after our high powered offense put up 75 yards of offense. I wouldn't put my best player at QB which is his natural position either cause its a thinking out of the box for this staff. They can try and hide him all they want but reality will be setting in quickly.

You have to understand the mentality of this program first to grasp the impact of it. Then it all makes sense.

The Senior leader playing QB needs to step up as a leader for his team and step aside voluntarily so that the 6'2" kid with the cannon arm can get back to where he gives them the best chance to move the chains. The current QB can't throw a football. That is a big problem on a team loaded with receivers. The ball has to be in the hands of the best playmakers. Number 8 ranks about sixth or seventh on this team in that category. Stop trying to reward a kid by letting play a position he is not built to play, and reward him by putting this team in a better position to win football games. It is clearly obvious to everyone.

Hiding him? Kash? I know thats who you consider the best. Didn't he score 2 TDs? If they're trying to hide him, they need to try harder.

All the teams played there JV in the 4th but Paintsville. Raceland and West Carter did and Greenup and East Carter also.

They did keep score. You are right. And from the sounds of things Paintsville was getting a pretty solid drumming until the opposing coaching staff wanted to get some younger guys some varsity game experience without it counting as a loss or risking injury to key players. Almost like it was a scrimmage. Lol

Thanks sports dad, apparently tf3 didn't get a chance to talk with you during or after the game. Everybody saw the same thing

Good thing these boys don't listen to folks like you, TB. If you have all the stats, do you know how many players Paintsville played yesterday? That would be interesting to see. If you can't find the stats, maybe I can. And, just to make it clear, Paintsville doesn't have a JV team so to insinuate that they didn't play the JV when they don't have JV is misleading.

You are mistaken. Paintsville played their reserves throughout the entire game. They don't have the luxury of an entire second unit. So it is not as noticeable. With one two-way starter out from the start, and losing another banged up and sitting, the reserves were pretty much used up.

That should be pretty easy to get, I'm sure one of the daddy's have them

Since you were mingling with all the different coaching staffs during and after the game it would only suggest that you had a hard copy from the group of daddy's that kept them :biglmao:

FS, thank you for pointing that out. For people who aren't at Paintsville, it's good to get correct info out to them.
