I'm going with the Panthers, but Pburg at home should be a tough match. Should be an exciting opening week of Football.
#4
This will be a great game!
#5
I look for this one to be like a playoff atmosphere to start the season. Both teams will be ready. Panthers by 7.

Prestonsburg will tough to beat at home.I thought they looked good at the grid last Friday.I knew what JJ could do, but Thought losing Anderson would kill them.Chatlin J. will be a good one, you will here his name alot....They have no one to fill in for JJ if something happened..That would be the end..Best of luck....

I'm going with the little guys 1a pikeville 34-28 :Cheerlead:Cheerlead:Cheerlead

Going with Panthers in this one. Pburg is not an easy place to play. Glad to see Pikeville beefing up the schedule. Going to pay dividends come playoff time.
#16
We will miss Anderson this year, but no more looking back. Jarredd Jarrell will come out and show why he's an underrated dual threat QB.

Blackcats 28
Panthers 21

I'll take the Blackcats in a tough battle.
#18
What happened to the Anderson kid??
#19
^He has decided to not play and concentrate on baseball where he has potential to get a free education and pursue his passion.
#20
Frasure will be the key to this game. If the blackcats can establish their running game, they win by a td. If Prestonsburg decides to "air it out" they lose by a td. Frasure is too big and strong not to get at least 15 to 20 touches a ball game. Good luck blackcats!!!!!!!!!

We have one hell of a QB, but I agree with you. We must establish a running game. Frasure is a beast of a RB. He should get at least get 15-20 touches a game. Of course with an established running game we can control the clock. The less the opposing offense is on the field the less chances to score.

I will miss seeing Anderson play this year, but I think he made the right decision for himself. Why risk a football injury when your education will be paid for with baseball. Good luck to you kid.

Can't blame the kid for looking into his future. But I think he will be missed tremendously.

I might just make the trip from hazard to watch this game !!!
#25
Will Frasure have any help in the backfield? How did the Ousley kid look ? He looks about 6 ft and around 200-210lbs.
#26
Frasure won't be the best RB on the field Friday night. That will be Chase Hall of Pikeville. I think the key to the game will be Prestonsburg's defense. If they don't come out of the gate playing good defense Pikeville will roll up big yardage on them...

What position did the Anderson kid play? Not really familar with these teams.

Nothing like info for my picks.

I'll take frasure over hall any day of the week. Although, both are from Floyd county. Pikeville is lucky Anderson isn't playing and Marcum is hurt. Could've been a long night for chase hall. As good as prestonsburg's defense looked last Friday, still might be. Go blackcats!

I like pikeville to win this one since finding out the Anderson kid isn't playing.

Blackcats in a close one.
