UCBrave2007 Wrote:TL Dude. When is the team season preview for Caldwell in the times leader coming out? Told my sister to pick one up whenever it comes out.

It will be in the Wednesday, Aug. 21, paper.

Could almost write the preview this year straight off the message boards. This is the most discussion I've ever seen regarding a Caldwell football team.

UCBrave2007 Wrote:It didn't last year, even after mayfield did some damage to Caldwell. They went on a tear through the playoffs. I only see Caldwell getting better.

No two ways about it, Caldwell was absolutely a no-show for the Mayfield game last year. About two-thirds of the Tigers looked intimidated to be playing at Mayfield. However, the team regrouped well after that beatdown. I don't think Caldwell will be intimidated by anyone this season.

I'm sure the 2013 Tigers will have ups and downs like any team, I just don't see a no-show like the Mayfield game last year.

Walt Longmire Wrote:Ahhh Druthers. That brings back some memories.

The Druther's in Campbellsville is going to look awfully blue and gold around 5:30 on Oct. 4.

Apparently everyone in Caldwell County is hitting Druthers before the Green County game. :biglmao:

TL, I have to agree that they didn't look right against us. I really think a lot of it has to do with how fast our line is. That is the part everyone misses when they watch the Cards. They miss the forest for the trees.

I think people sometimes forget how young Caldwell's team was last year. I think that youthful and playing AT Mayfield got to a lot of them.

In the long run, it may actually have helped Caldwell. The Tigers did a lot of soul searching after that game and made a lot of noise in the playoffs with a team most of us thought was still a year away.

Sometimes a loss can be a valuable learning experience. Everyone sort of wrote off Caldwell after that Mayfield game, but the Tigers used that game as motivation the rest of the way.

TL, I used to have an instructor with a similar name around the Richmond area. I don't know, but I don't think ye relocated to the west. Anyway, I think you are mistaken. I was singing your praises all last year and didn't give up. As were many other people in West Ky. I don't think Caldwell will have many problems with other teams. I think the problem they got with us is exactly what I said above. I may be wrong, but we won't know until the last game of the regular season. I just hope we don't have the sloppy mud bowl that we had in Princeton in 2009.

Caldwell Co. has a ton of potential. With that being said NCC would be my favortie. To be the champ you have to beat the champ!!
