New Mcreary Co. Coach?
#61
BossEric Wrote:I called my buddy at Fort Knox , he trying to find out if he coach there. He has never heard the name before. Sounds like a bad choice from what I'm reading on here.

Coached when Jaco( i think that is how you spell it)was at Fort Knox.
#62
Now Coach Galloway is the Man. At this point it is not too important if he has coached at High School Level or not, he is the Coach. He needs to put together a good staff and go to work and everyone in McCreary needs to be behind him and the Kids. This is about the Kids.
#63
I agree its about the kids. Need to know his background on football, coaching experience, success, and where he has coached. I read a lot about this program on here, curious about this hire. Did they hire the best person for the kids and the program. Should have some details out of Fort Knox today or tomorrow.
#64
This school has no place to go but up, it's shameful because they have some really good looking kids come through their middle school. The administration better step up or football may become history, if they don't get it turned around. Good luck to the new coach
#65
Key for the Administration to step up and support Football. Key for fans to rally around new staff and help in any way they can. Middle School has a fine looking group. They are 3 or 4 years away. It will be a struggle.

Coach Galloway has started putting a staff together, as of now( because we know things can change fast in MC), Coach Galloway and Coach Lewis will be working on the defense,Coach Payne will be the OC, Coach Monhollen and Coach Lewis will be working with the O and D lineman, Coach Galloway and Coach Monhollen are great new editions to football in McCreary County.I am excited to see what this staff can do.GO RAIDERS!

Base O will be the I with some spread.

The word I received out Fort Knox, no high school experience. No head coaching experience , help out with a Jr. high program. Sounds like mccreary went wrong again.
#71
They need to get a coach hired asap! June is just around the corne. Any ideas on who is the leader currently?

Don't know about his experience at Coaching Football. I know that being from a Military Background (retired). He will be organized and the team will be held accountable. With the staff he is putting together that may just be enough. All we all can do is get behind him and his staff. Best of Luck to the Raider Football Program.
Hard Work= Success.

It has been a while since I have posted on here but I wanted to say a word or two about Coach Galloway. I have coached football for over 20 years and I can tell you that Coach Galloway has a vast knowledge of the game of football and as a retired 1st sgt. he has an inaite ability to lead. Not to mention he is a strength and conditioning Guru! Organization and discipline will be the foundation that this staff will build on along with about 50 years of coaching experience among them. Criticism is no big deal if you can't take criticism then you need to get out if coaching. I can tell you that this staff will work hard for the raiders football players as we are there to coach for them. Win, lose or draw at the end of the day we will only be as successful as our willingness to work hard as a team and a staff. It may take a year or it may take 5 years or more but this coaching staff has the confidence in the young men of this community to step it up and work hard enough to create a winning tradition at McCreary Central. We all feel honored to have an opportunity to coach such fine young men! God Bless and Go Raiders!

HouseofPain are you on staff?

I had the privilege to work with a couple on the Coaching Staff and have watched a Couple more work with the Kids over the years. They know Football and they know what a challenge lies ahead for them. I can say I don't think anyone will outwork them. Good Luck and If I can help let me know.

It was nice to visit Wt. Room today and see the whole staff there along with the Middle School Coach. Working with the kids lifting and planning on upcoming season. Good Luck.
#77
Nice to hear some positive. Cellking keep us informed.

E's it is nice to be able to say something Good about McCreary Central Football. Man this program has been in a rut for the last 3 years. Time for Change, Time to go to work and to quit making excuses. Good Luck to New Staff!!!
#79
I've been real impressed with McCreary's Staff. Wt. Room open 9-11 12-1:30 4-6 every day. With 2 or more Coaches there at all times. Coach Galloway knows what he is doing with wt. program. He is coming in a 6:00AM With Tyson Williams and lifting with him getting him ready for EKU. This man is an big + for McCreary County.
#80
Why is Williams back in McCreary Co.? Didn't he move and play for Somerset?
#81
BossEric Wrote:Why is Williams back in McCreary Co.? Didn't he move and play for Somerset?

He played at Somerset last season. He signed with EKU. His Mother moved back to McCreary County. Coach Galloway is working with him in prep. to play at Eastern.

lillianhidgepork Wrote:HouseofPain are you on staff?

Coach Payne is on the staff, and will be a huge part of what the Raiders do in the future.
#83
Great Coach Payne is a great addition. Now lets hope Robert Jones does not try to get behind the scenes and damage the program like he has done in the past. The beauty of McCreary County is fighting the people who should be helping you.
#84
The time and effort in the weight room will pay off this fall. Hopefully they can keep this staff together and they will continue to put in the time. If the weight room is not open the kids will not be there.
#85
E you are 100% correct about the weight room, seems like the boys are trickling in a few at a time, I hope the rise in numbers continue. GO RAIDERS!
#86
McCreary's Staff need to keep plugging along. If the kids see you people working hard they will want to be a part of it. Good Luck and go Raiders!!!

Cellking are they going to greyshirt Tyson?

No, he will start in Fall. Lift and practice. Play in 2014.
