Best team with a bad record
#1
i think hazard has a great team............with justin, chucky, jon, durell, and micheal..........i dont see how there record is this bad................bad coaching perhaps.........i dont kno..........but whatever the case my be i think they will make a strong run during district play
#2
wolfe county, i think they'll make some noise

Lawrence County is 7-13, I think, and they have knocked off some big teams in the district and seem to be starting to play really good ball as of late. I think this team is looking to make a big run and some LOUD NOISE here in the latter part of the season moving into district tournament.
#5
Allen Central and Magoffin County
#6
Betsy Layne would have to be in contention along with Hazard. Both teams are capable of so much more than we are seeing on the hardwood. Allen Central is probably better than their record but may not have the stuff to make a run this year, but hold your head up guys, you will sneak up and hurt somebody before the year is out. Schedule strength is a huge factor for Betsy Layne. They have lost 4 games by 3 or less and only two games by double digits. Hazard has only lost one game by double digits.

Powell has a good team. all juniors. great shooters, inside is a little shaky but romans is doing well and when Dennis catches fire ...lights out. they are way better than 4-12. They took Estill and Lee to their limit and came|..| to beating them. next year... year of the pirates.
#8
i think that pikeville has the potential to bae a GOOD but not great team but none of their player are consistant & they dont have any good three-piont shooters
#9
magoffin co at 5-12

If Owsley County can pull it together, they would definatly be on here. Their record is horrible but with the return of Robert Smith, this brings the leadership role they have been lacking. And after a horrible defeat against Lee, where some Bad Shot selection and completley horrible calls from the refs has given them a wake up call so they can learn from their mistakes.

The Owsley County Owls are definatly one of the best teams in Kentucky with a bad record.

I agree with gingerbreadman about Hazard, but you forgot about Matt and Presley and JwallConfusedecret:

Owsley County

Shelby Valley

They have so much potential.. it just hasn't been coming to them here lately. They could really be dangerous if they kick it in.

12-10 is a bad year in South Floyd standards. But I would have to go with Magoffin County on this one.
#23
I would throw Lawrence Co. in the mix. They have a sub-.500 overall record, but have beaten some very good teams.
#24
Someone has to throw Pikeville in here. Every game but one this year, they have had a double digit lead in the 1st half only to come back and lose the game at the end.

i would have to agree with Owsley and i am sure Hazard is a great team to, i just dont really get out there when it comes to watching other teams play, except for my home team. i know Owlsey has had a bad record, but i know it is because they dont work like a team this year. i dont know what has came over them. they are great players and they most deffinatly proved that in the JBS game. that was the best game of basketball i have seen played in awhile.

:thanks:

16-15 last year..10+ losses looks like it might be the new standard for South Floyd...
#28
and 11 losses the season before that...3 in a row...Wink
#29
Make that 5 seasons in a row with at least 10+ losses....

I really need to look into things more before posting...
#30
Just forget it..Im not going to post again, but make that 6 straight seasons with 10 losses or more...So this record for South Floyd is completely acceptable,

and I do think they are the best 10 loss team in the region though..
