I don't have a daughter playing, but I stopped in at Ballard to catch the Softball Tournament final...

Championship Game (5 innings):

Owensboro Catholic 1

Ballard team hit 3 deep bombs out of the park in the 4th inning and it felt like 35 degrees outside. Ballard lost to Owensboro Catholic 1-2 on Friday and came back on Saturday to win 3 games and take the title, and rode the back of an 8th grade pitcher that went the distance in all 3 Saturday games.

The Catholic staff ace pitcher was taken out after the 3 HR's...the best defensive player on the field was the #12 from Ballard that played 2nd base, I found out that she is freshman from that moved in from Southern California, was also the fastest kid on the field by far. The HR hit by the Ballard catcher #44 may have cleared the road outside the stadium, she hits the ball so hard it is dangerous for the opponents 1B.
