any of the 8th graders playing for SF this year?
02-14-2005, 02:28 PM
bbfan, all of sf's 8th graders played on freshman team after county tournament. The played Pburg first and SF lost by I think 20 but were down by 29 with 3-4 mins in fourth. This weekend SF freshman team with those awesome 8th graders came in 3rd in 58th district freshman tourny out of 4 teams. Pburg won, must make then the best in 58th atleast.

i think sf would have done better but some of the players were sick
Posted Mon Feb 14, 2005 12:35 pm:
only 3 8th graders played and they had not practiced with the freshmans and didt know none of the plays

Again excusses from sf fans about losing. You lost and for plays didn't look like sf team ever listen to the coah any way, didn't see them run or even call plays although the coach was trying to get them called from the bench.

after talking to the coach showtyme, it appears that only 3 of the 8th graders played... far cry from all of them dont ya think?

They were the best or are you are saying that the big adams kid, point guard not sure of his name and Tacket are not the best 8th graders. I thought these kids were awesome. How many points and blocks did adams have is this game? Tacket was the only one that was the least bit impressive to this viewer.

which game?

i will agree with you showtime, p-burg must have the best freshman team this year...after all, they won the tourney... if SF has to depend on a 8th grade class to win, then something is wrong there. as far as points and stuff goes for them, I really dont know, but I think the adams kid got 10 or 12 points against AC, and some more nasty blocks on josh...

Whoever told you this had no idea what they were talkin about
Bryant actually was going to transfer a couple of weeks ago to Jenkins but his dad told me that is was too late into the season and that it would take too long to get eligible this season. So he didn't want to do that, and said he would make Jake go ahead and play the rest of this season at SV.

Finally something we can agree on bballonlyfan. In the couple of games I have seen from SF freshman there best players may have been those 8th graders and Akers. The rest of those freshman could be in trouble for playing time in years to come. I think the Adams kid is going to be very good in time.

showtyme, i think you would agree with this post too... i think the 8th grade team as SF would beat the freshman team by as many as they wanted if they was to play... your opinion?
02-14-2005, 04:08 PM
I think SF 8th grade team could spot the Sf freshman team and still beat them. I wounder if the two have scrimmaged in practice?
02-14-2005, 10:42 PM
no the 8th grade team and freshmen havent scrimaged in practice

I'd say that the middle school team would win too. For one reason, Devon Adams.

Prestonsburg has a VERY good freshman team, they're the best of the 58th district teams. Also anyone seeing Paintsville going undefeated in Regional play in 2008?
02-16-2005, 09:30 PM
in 2008 paintsville will be the 3rd best team in the region behind pikeville and valley
valley will have bryant, price, kinney, justic, harmon, L. Bryant, E. Jusice, hatfield and newsome
and pikeville will have the hoanakers , richie, bell, among other
strength comes in numbers not in 3-4 good players

No chance of Pikeville being better than Paintsville. Valley could be though.
