When Camron Justice ends his high school career he will be close to the record. That is if everything continues the way they have been. Right now he has 1,996 points and "King" Kelly Coleman has the record with 4,337. Second is Charlie Osborne with 3,647. I think Camron can move into second but to get first its gonna take on average 1,170 points per season the next two seasons. I think 1,170 is a little out of reach but anything can happen. He had 917 this season and averaged 25.5 a game.

I agree, IF justice stays at Knott he'll end up second all time..

I think there is no doubt he could reach the 4,000 point total by his senior season!!!
I dont think he can catch the King!!!
But if Knott Central goes deep in the state tournament the next two season he could get closer than you think!!!!

I'd love to see him get it, but I can't say the odds are in his favor.
I can say this with confidence though...Justice is the most efficient scoring guard I've seen in a long time. He gets his points without being a, for lack of better words, ball hog and the shots he connects on are not exactly high percentage shots for most high schoolers. IMO, he really lets the game come to him and takes full advantage of the opportunities he's given.

Just curious. Did Justice play any varsity ball as an 8th grader and if so, how many points did he score that year?

According to what I can find.
380 pts 8th grade year.
699 pts freshman year.
917 pts sophmore year.
By my figuring, if he gets at least 850 pts over the next two years, he'll break Charlie Osbornes record of 3,647 pts for second place. He is most definitely a fun player to watch.

I don't see his points going up a lot from year to year....
just because he already puts so much up right now lol
Something to think about - He's playing with a group of Sophomores that are really talented - does their improvement put a dent in his scoring over the next couple of years?
Ultimately I think he gets to #2 on the list and flirts with the 4000 point club if he stays healthy and stays at Knott.

According to Knotts stats, he had 717 as a freshman and had 864 this year going into the state tourny and he got 29 in the first game and 24 in the second so with the 380 he had as an 8th grader, he has 2014 right now and he probably got some varsity action as a 7th grader so he could have a shot.

He was listed on the roster for East Ridge his 7th grade year, but can not find any points he scored. I know he tore up the middle school scene his 7th grade year for Feds Creek.

Roster for east ridge?

Not sure about the roster, except for his 8th grade year at East Ridge, but I've seen 3-4 articles stating that he played varsity ball his 7th grade year. East Ridge has put out the talent the past few years, Justice, Kasongo, but letting them all get away.

He never attended high school at East Ridge, but did play varsity ball while in grade school. He transfered to Knott Co. his freshman year.

Some people may say a transfer is a transfer, but leaving a grade school for a different high school is not a transfer to me. He had 29 pts, 6 assist, 7 steals in his first game starting for East Ridge as an 8th grader.

Is a transfer just a transfer when it suits you?
That's a transfer. He should have played for east ridge. But transfered to knott for basketball. Transfer.

Anyone think his dad will get offers as coach so he will bring his son with him? I bet Letcher Central is wishing they kept him around for a few more years.

Don't mention that...
Knott County fans get touchy at the thought of him leaving.

Raymond did a very very good job as a head coach.... I am sure there has been schools show interest the past couple of years. Seems to be happy where he is.... Sometimes after the State tournament your interest reaches a higher peak. The lexington area would be the place for the best exposure. But I believe he will stay put....

Still makes him a transfer? I have nothing against him or knott. No tied or affiliations. But I think its funny that a school who does nothing that complains about transfers have some of their own.

Then JBS, Cordia and KCC, all high schools at that, is full of tranfers, they are leach schools feeding off the seed grade schools. I've never complained, if a kid wants to attend another high school, its up to him, not me.
