True, I will agree with that. He did do a great job.

The coach of the year (COY) was awarded to Troy Lee Thomas of Bath County. Player of the year (POY) went to Kaylyn Gambill of the Ashland Kittens.

Troy Lee did a good job with Bath this year. Orem at Lewis should also have been in contention. Hard for Bradley to get it for a 3rd year in a row when you start off the season as the number 1 team in the region and you meet expectations.

Political, if this is true Fraley was the only coach to knock off Ashland, Bradley dominated the region, and Layne took a Russell team that nobody had expectations for to the semifinals. Then you have Robinson undoubtably the best player in the region, and if it has to go to a senior not that any of the other regions go by that. Then E. Stewart was by far the most valuable senior to her team she's why Boyd was in the top 3 teams, without her they drop to 4 maybe 5.

I will agree on coach of year but player of year could easily be argued. Yes Emily was a great value to her team but so was gambill and Ashland did win district and region against Boyd so I would have to go with gambill. Like I said Emily is a great player though.
