Sweet 16
#1
With Knott County's lose to Ballard, it has now been 29 years since a 14th region team has made it to the final four of the Sweet 16. MC Napier made it to Saturday in 1984.

The second longest streak of not making it to the final four is the 13th Region. Harlan made it to Saturday morning 18 years ago, with Charles Thomas and company. All other regions have had multiple final-four participants during this time frame.

With a decent draw, Knott can make it there next year.
All sophomores and one senior

Hazard went in 1986. Lost to PRP. Its been 27 years.

Good call Nannook.

Knott had a great opportunity last year. However they couldn't finish Oldham County off. It was the best draw the14th has had in several years.

Madison Central, Hoptown, Montgomery County, Ballard..............all lost to Trinity

Yeah, but Ballard beat them when it counted.

I agree. Knott should have been in the final four last year but couldn't make a free throw. They had several opportunities to win the game. I like there chances the next two seasons.

Hazard got ripped off against PRP IMO. Very solid team that year. What school took M.C. Napier in? Went to B-Ball camp with that good team in the mid-80's, those guys were a hoot! Good-guys

:eyeroll: Don't think anybody will feel sorry for the green team. Guess they will have to expand there territory, if that's possible.
