Frederick had that wide open shot at the buzzer from five feet.
Don't know why the hell he didn't bank it but someone needs to teach kids these days some fundamentals.
I thought CovCath had it won when they went up 11.
#3 for Holmes is damn good. Chris Mack was there watching him play.
Holmes started off the game with three straight 3s. It was unreal how they could pull from anywhere, off-balance with a hand in their face and knock down the 3 pointer.
CovCath should be alright next year, too.

Exciting game. The arena at NKU seats about 9,500, and the seats were about 85-90 percent full. Great atmosphere. Holmes super soph Boldin fouls out in 4th quarter and Holmes survives (barely).

Congrats to the Dawgs! Great game. If Bolden keeps developing he will be picking the school of his choice. His speed and ball-handling are off the charts. Holmes has a tough first round game against PRP. Should be a good one!

Congrats to Holmes and Coach Booher!

Bolden was the real deal last night, but I was very impressed with the way Holmes kept playing when Bolden and Englemon fouled out. Very intense, fun game to watch, I'm glad I went. I think Frederick was surprised Ruthsatz passed it to him on that final drive, which was the right move. You could tell he froze a little bit on the shot.
Finally, it felt good to see Mike Listerman celebrating when they won. He's been waiting for a win against CovCath on the big stage and to stick it to some of those CCH supporters that drove him out was neat.
Both teams will be stacked next year, Holmes has a lot coming back

This is unconfirmed information but a person close to the Holmes program told me that Chris Mack has offered James Bolden a scholarship to X. If true congrats to the young man.

Drove him out? Who said he was driven out?
Frederick's dad said he normally hits that shot 9 out of 10 times. He should have used the backboard.

^ i did, although it wasn't official, he wouldn't have left if it wasn't for a few people that kept getting in his ears about stuff he didn't need to deal with

Really? Like what?
His son took over when he quit coaching, so you don't think that that's a bit coincidental? Quitting and his son takes over, especially if dad's telling him how bad it is?
If anyone was in his ear, it was because he underperformed as a coach and flopped with some great teams.
It's also his fault that Lorenzen went to Highlands instead of CovCath.

^ it's constant blame like that, and Mike got tired of hearing it everyday from a number of people. same reason why Dan Trame just left Walton Verona
