I'm 6'3 old and in mediocre shape and I can dunk easy, a 6'6 highschool athlete should be able to dubk anyway they want, this is not a shot at the kid he can dunk good but he should be able to

Think Johnson is the best bigman in the mts. I don't care if he dunks in traffic or not. When he goes to the hoop he goes with a mission. If he developes a mid range shot over the summer he would be Major D1.

He already has that and more. This kid has been a guard the majority of his life.
I really don't see how anyone argues who the better player is between Johnson and Shane Hall of JC. IMO, it's Johnson. It's not close and I thought that long before ever seeing this dunk.

I'm not a JC fan or a PC fan, but I've watched both these kids play multiple times and I'm sorry but Johnson is not better than Shane hall. Not even better at dunking IMO. I went over to JC to watch a game a couple years ago on valentines day & there was a huge picture on the wall of Shane hall kidding the rim lol. Yes this was a great dunk, not taking anything away from the kid but hall is the better player.

Kissing the rim?!?! That's pretty awesome!

How about this: don't post anymore dunks on here because these stupid hating as#es will continue to hating on a 16 yr old kid doing something their child/grandchildren has never b4! Grow up, this is a very nice dunk here n eky and across the state. The only ppl that should not like this is the ones that can do it. I like Shane Hall too, I don't think they are comparing them. Shane and Justin are easily 2 of the best Dunkers n the state!!! Let it be what it is!!

I have seen almost every PCC game this year, and I have seen Johnson dunk many times in traffic. He dunked two in the first quarter against Lafayette when he receive the ball on the block, spun around his man and dunked from the opposite side. He had 4 dunks in the first quarter of that game and 6 in the first half.
I have watched high school basketball since the 70's, and I have never seen any player come close to the quality or number of dunks this kid has.

Justin told me he loved it at perry and wished he would have transferred a year earlier. His dad also said he would never move back.

According to sources, he commutes from there every day with his illustrious coach and his family has not relocated or found employment in this area, all of which should have happened before KHSAA allowed him to be able to play. He is very talented and I hope he sets his goals high and reaches them...but he should be going by the rules, not by the highway like he supposedly is!
I don't know where you get your information but it is totally false. He lives about 5 minutes from me at the mouth of lots creek. And I know his dad is on disability so he doesn't have to find a job. Get better information or quit posting.

He's prob right up there with Todd Tackett,Craig Ratliff, Ben bowling, John olinger and I can't think of anymore but I'm sure there is. I'd like to see more players 6'4 and up dunking the ball. But I guess u get the same amount of points as a layup. Just a lot more fun to watch.

I have watched all the guys you mentioned above play and NONE of them compare to Justin Johnson in terms of dunking in games. NOT EVEN CLOSE. Johnson does it with ease. Those guys threw one down here and there but not like Justin.

Opinions vary. I feel more than confident in my assessment and I'm also confident that I know more about bball than you.
By the way, I'm not from Martin Co., Johnson Co., or Perry Co. I'm completely unbiased in my opinions.

I have to say that Todd Tackett and Craig Ratliff threw more than one down "here and there." I have seen more than than a few dunks from those two.

Nice dunk, but he walked. Still nice regardless.

Johnson is a better dunker than both of them and could throw it down better than you to J.R. But I will say this, you Paintsville guys were awesome to watch back in the day. One of the best teams I have ever saw.

I don't know, we'll just have to agree to disagree. I think I had some pretty nice dunks back in my day, and I know Todd and Craig had some good ones too. We just didn't live in the YouTube age for all to see each dunk. Heck, I only have old game films on VHS!!!

His dribble is live until it comes back into his hand.
It's not a walk.

In no way is this a walk
03-01-2013, 04:12 PM
Not a walk. nice dunk, lets hear some names of high major players he reminds you of, can be this year or past couple of years. Was trying to find a comparison to him. And dont get me wrong but looks like a 180, looks like hes facing the other goal when his feet leave the ground but you cant see them in the video. But anyway lets hear some players he reminds you of on a mid or high major.
