#31
yeah you need to look at a lot off stats to be able to start threads like this then have an opinion............and not just your school a couple of schools
#32
Whoever started this thread must not know to much about high school football.

No disrespect shakeandbake, but what on god's green earth were you thinking when you made this thread? He can't compair to some of the great fullbacks ever in the mountains, the difference is like daylight, and dark!...I can't think of his name, but the fullback for Pikeville in 87' was the best fullback of all-time in the mountains...Little wasn't even the best in SF's district last year!

Bobby Deramus was his name. He rushed for over 1,000 yards each year and that's along with 2 other RB's who had over 1,000 each year also, not to mention he won a couple STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS.

You look at Deramus, Matt Brown, Scott Salyer, all the FB's that came thru Lawrence County, Brandon Little doesn't compare to any of them. Tell us shakeandbake, what did Brandon Little ever do against good teams like Pikeville, Hazard, and Paintsville (with the exception of the 2003 season when they were horrible). Brandon Little was a decent FB, can't take that away from him, but to say he is the best to EVER come from the mountains just blows mine and everyone else's mind.

Yeah your right on one thing he wasnt the best in SF's district last year but just maybe thats because he graduated 2 years ago.

Eddie played in the mid 90's. i-dono asked who the fullback was in 87, that was Bobby.

hate to break your hero buddy, but he rushed for 400 yds, correct, but he played every play the entire game, in a 69-20 game. As bad as i hate to say anything about my beloved jenkins, but theres a thousand players in the state that could have done that. I could have done that, and im 30 years old with four knee surgeries, lol.
ShakeandBake Wrote:lets hear som ppl he rushed for 400 yards in 24 mintues a half a game

lol, thats some funny shit :Third:

Josh Smallwood was a **** good player too, AVERAGED over 20 tackles a game for an 11-2 neon team, never quit.....but as far as talent, that big Bobby Deramus was pretty good, considering he rushed for over 1000 yards against Jenkins in four games against us in the 80s, lol

I couldn't remember his name, that's why I just said the FB's from Lawrence County. I can't believe I forgot his name. He was a city policeman in Paintsville for a while, I've had quite a few conversations with him.

Scott Salyers, Shannon Price, Matt Brown, Pikeville's had several dandy's, Arnett from Magoffin Co. a few years ago...not close to bein' the best FB ever in the mts.
#59
Pikeville in the late 80s had as much if not more talent than any team to ever suit up in the Mountains. That's why they have tons of hardware on their fingers. Deramus and Hackney were both incredible talents at the high school level. Ashland in 1990 had some incredible players. At 6'4 240 lbs, Juan Thomas was an incredible back. I don't know if I would call Deramus or Thomas fullbacks though. They were big tailbacks in a multiple back offense. They weren't there for their blocking ability. I believe Ashland had 3 backs with over 1000 yards that season and one of them was listed as a FB, Chris Hutt was the other tailback and he could fly.

Bradnon Little may have put on a great show on that night, but he is not the best fb ever in the mountains. Not a snowballs chance in hell.
