A certain segement of gloom and doomers will no doubt be
shocked, but Vegas has UK as a 2 point fave today. Point spreads
don't make wins, but at least a little sanity survives somewhere,
and they realize that UK isn't a hopeless victim now.

I think this could be a Breakout game for Goodwin. Well see.

Before the last game, Jon Hood was shooting 2 hours before the game. Oscar Combs said he came out and jokingly told Jon to save some of those for the game. Jon's response to Oscar was no, this is the only time he gets to shoot for this team.

Pretty telling comment from Jon. One that confirms what most of us have thought, and that is that Jon was likely going to leave after this season. Well, with the bench just getting shorter, this could be the breakout time for Jon. Maybe, just maybe, this is the the spark for both Jon and the Cats. He's healthy, and he will be needed to add more than the last two minutes of the first-half of each game! If Jon can play defense and hit a few outside shots, this could be a sweet deal.

I also expect that we are going to see quite a bit of zone from the Cats! You can protect Cauley-Stein and you can take more advantage of Polson.

Is this team dead? NO! Is this a must win? I want to say no, but they do need wins on the road in order to impress the committee!

UT is horrible.
However, with Noel out, UK is not much better.

That if he can play defense is a huge IF. Great kid, but reality is
that he doesn't have the physical ability to be effective at tis
level. Or more accurately he hasn't displayed it yet. Be great
if it comes, but it doesn't loom promising. Those 2 minutes at
the end of first halves have been either stealing time to protect
someone with 2 fouls, or desperation for someone already with 3.

Just heard that Johnson Central's Shane, a TN recruit, will be sitting behind the TN bench today on a visit.

Should have typed Shane Hall

Poison and Kyle to start.
#11
Clark Kellog said that Kentucky would still make the NCAA Tournament.

Jarrod Polson and Kyle Wiltjer are starting today. Poythress and someone else is coming off the bench.
#12
Harrow.

Are guards have to help rebound.
#13
Why does Kyle douYble stokes? He's 6"8 and has a 7 footer on home. Just getting in the way.
#14
Thank You Cat! They said who wasn't starting and I wasn't paying attention and it slipped my mind as soon as they said it

As much as i like to see ky kids play it actually pains me to see some people get on the floor and get asked to do something.. Archie Goodwin gets top spot, but right behind is in Jon Hood. he has been a bust since he came in. Maybe if he didn't get hurt he might have developed into something, but watching him try to play now hurts my soul. he looks like he is scared to be there and extremely lacking in the confidence dept. He looks like he just doesnt belong and he also plays like it.
I'm in love with Tawnya.. hehe..

I swear watching poythress play is painful. He back away from players and fake dives. Point shaving? Smile
#17
Goodwin is the biggest ball hog I've ever seen.

Tennessee is getting ready to shoot 2 more free throws. They've shot like 6 free throws to Kentucky's 0
#18
Jon Hood is in
#19
Are these ref's not gonna call anything? They're calling tick tack fouls on Kentucky and then Tennessee hammers Kentucky and nothing
#20
John Robic has been tossed. Not sure what happened but he was tossed during the commercial break
#21
Kentucky is just getting embarassed in this first half
#22
33-12 Vols with 10 mins to play in the 1st half.
#23
wow, observing nailed this one Confusednicker:
#24
Tennessee is just having their way with Kentucky. 45-22 with 1:51 left in the first half.
#25
UK has 5 players with 2 fouls, 12 fouls total

another 3 for Tennessee. 48-22 under a minute to play...Vols 4/4 from 3
#26
50-26 Vols lead at halftime

Big trouble in little Kentucky, Kurt Russell style...although the good guys will have to regroup with new blood to showcase their talents in the future.

Don't kick the dog, or hurt anyone else, pickle yourself if you feel necessary but be in church tomorrow. The sun will continue to rise...GO CATS baseball !

Tennessee shot 15 free throws to Kentucky's 4.....

I'm sick to my stomach watching this game. Goodwin don't know how to pass Cauley-Stein can't block a 6 year old, Julius Mays might as well wear the mascot costume, and Kyle Wiltjer is just too weak.

They don't know how to play as a team, and it's making Polson look worse than he is. I mean he finally gets a chance to play with the big boys and he has NO help whatsoever. I hope all these guys hire an agent after this season..

amen to that quote, maye Goodwin will leave to, very overated with hood and a couple others, as well as coach has recruited since he got there or even in his career, this group has to be at the top for the worst overrated group...
