WOW, thought this would be a much better game.

The whole game wasnt even this close. can u say blowout from start to finish.

You can't ask for a better game by Johnson and what about that monster dunk? Especially with him having the 24 hour bug. Beverly looking good as always, I thought for sure he hurt his knee when he went down. Cornette looked physical and good. All around they played team ball today. It's about time they've clicked. Cordia's point guard didn't live up to the hype today. Several times I thought he carried the ball. He has the quickness and slick passes to be a great point guard though. Just didn't seem to show up tonight. Great win by the dores, bring on Hazard!

Where is all the people that said Cordia would win the 14th, hang with PCC, KCC and the rest of the top dawgs in the region?

HALFTIME Score was Perry 50 Cordia 20...Wow.
The game was not close at all...Johnson had 27 for Perry with 16 before halftime. He also had a nice baseline dunk.
Beverly ended with 10. Had some cramps and didn't play towards the end of the game.
Also, one thing Rhodes will do is sit his boys down when their temper becomes an issue. Not letting it escalate into something more. He himself has a temper of his own that he has trouble containing at points.

Don't be coming down here in these parts and trying to start some trouble. The lesser evil won tonight and I like it.
This game was a measuring stick for Cordia and they must step it up next week!
I came away from this game with so many thoughts so I have plenty to say. First, I believe that PCC is a 6-12 point better team than Cordia. the reason it got as bad as it got was because Cordia couldn't throw one in the ocean and PCC was on fire! Second, They controlled the tempo, they knew when to push and when to slow down and execute for a good shot. Third, the only way any team in this region has a shot at beating PCC is playing a zone defense. Breathitt who I believe is not a better team than Cordia has took PCC to a 2OT game and another close game and we all know Denny played his 1-2-2 zone. So Cordia should have slowed it down and played a zone instead of push because they settled while PCC took good shots.
I still say Emmanuel is the best player in the 14th. He is not a scoring pg(he has plenty of times this season but his tru game is a true pg) so he looks to get as much dimes as he can. Cordia shot horribly in the 1st so when your a true pg and you do not get any assists because your teammates are not hitting that makes you look bad. He is still a d-1 level pg and nobody will make me think different.
As long as PCC shoots the ball the way they did tonight, there is no team in this region that can play with them, not Hazard, not Knott. When your shooting the ball the way they did it is contagious.
I hated being at the game and not being able to cheer when PCC made a play or when Cordia made a play. I would have looked stupid clapping for both teams so I set there shocked through that first half because i felt like i was getting ready to see a really good game.
I do expect a different Cordia team in district play because they know how to guard Knott but they must learn how to guard Perry and man2man is not it. Rhodes and his staff has some game film to review and see that because if they try to play PCC man again if these two teams meet in region it will end up being the same result.
Congrats goes out to two of my old friends in Dalton Cornett and Austin Pray on two terrific careers at PCC, what a way to end your last home game at Perry! Good Luck to both teams in District play!

I seen a lot of state tournaments, regional tournaments and a lot of games tthe kid at Cordia #0 Is not what people think hes is the best player at Cordia is #2 Tangaloo I guess is how you spell his name. they have no defense and cant match Perry Bigs. They have a hard game next week against Letcher I said 12 or better and It was not close all night Enough Said.

Paige at Perry was better than any player is at Cordia.
02-15-2013, 11:18 PM
Not a good comparison ballboy. Perry won, that's not put them back up to the greater evil.
02-15-2013, 11:19 PM
If Perry is shooting the ball like they did tonight the zone won't be effective either. Dalton a big straight a way three early and Travis Stacy came in and hit like he did both games against Knott. Beatty hit when they are hitting like that very little you can do about it. I have watched Perry about all year and when they play like that very little you can do about it. Johnson gets so high on his little pull up jumpers no one around here can do anything about it.. Monster two handed running slam off the right baseline. Congrats Commodores.
Peace be among us.

Thought it'd be about a 10-15 point game with Perry winning of course, bug it wasn't even that close, lol. Perry came to play, Cordia didn't. Good game Perry!

Hype stayed home tonight and reality set in. I said on other thread that Perry' s big boys would dominate. Enough said.

Kudos to Rhodes for doing that when frustration set in. Also Spurlock kept Beatty out also after that little dust-up. He never returned.

The 2 headed monster and the point guard showed up tonight. Cordia was never in the game. If we play like that we will be in the quarterfinals of the state. Cordias point guard needs to look to score more several times in the first half he would make A pass and it would end up being A turnover. Thier defense got lost on switching and you would end up with Cornett being wide open and I have stated in earlier post he can make that shot 75% of the time . Cordia didn't full court press (zone) all night wonder whats up with that. The game I watched them against Knott that seemed to be thier best defense> OH WELL. The real season starts Tuesday ROLL DORES!!!

But if perry shoots 42 three throws it will make it even harder for chs to pull out a win. Run and take the bigs out the game. Cordia believes their guard plays trumps perrys.
How much faster?

He's a big body, but he hasn't been playing to his potential as of late..
Could be a factor.
Cornett really sucks.
He was so horrible tonight

For some reason people in charge of who refs what games always have these two refs at the game. Its like they think they are the best. If they are not the refs it might be a closer game. If they are PCC win by 10 or more. Rhodes get eject from the game in the third period.
Cook did not ref
