Who wins the 14th?

Besides Hazard, since the Lions got the Canadians eligible they've beaten June Buchanan (Pippa Passes Campus), Powell County (in Overtime), Jenkins (congratulations) and Letcher Central (decent win).

I wish them all the luck in the world and I want nothing more than the talent level around here to rise and competition be at an all-time high, but right now the Cordia Lions are simply another team that just happens to have some kids getting looked at by some college programs.

Love how you make a post about Cordia not having a chance to win region. I dont see you making a big post about post #5 who said Hazard would win. Oh, Hazard has played most of the season without their best player right? I believe having your best player start playing in mid-January would also be considering playing half the year with your best player.

Cordia is 10-5 region, 5-1 since getting their best players on the floor. Remember this schedule was already made before the season started so playing Jenkins, Powell, and JBS is nothing you can hold against this team.This district actually seeds so you HAVE to play Jenkins/JBS. Cordia is few bad calls from being 6-0 with these players. If you don't think this team has a chance at winning this region, you're crazy and need to watch them play.

I'll avatar bet you if you can show me a win the bulldawgs have made this season in the 14th that separates them away from Cordia. And proves they can win this region. I'm saying that they have not proven that they are the favorite.
I never said they didn't have a chance.

Also, I'm not holding their schedule against them. I'm just relaying information based on their body of work. They have to play Jenkins and JBS, we all know that, but it still doesn't change the fact that a win over Jenkins and JBS doesn't speak volumes about how good you are.

you're right.

However, I will never count out Al Holland in the postseason around here.
That is something that he has earned over the years.

Rhodes and the Cordia Lions haven't earned that.

And I agree Rhodes and lions haven't earned anything. But on another note no one said they were the favorite. Imo the favorite year in and out are the defending champs unless they lose a butt load of players. And Perry is the only team in this region that can say they beat KCC. Cordia is in the mix of a group of 4 imo that will win region, and one of them wont be there come region. The region will go to KCC, CHS, PCC, or HHS. Imo no one else has a legitimate shot

No one is getting tore up, it is a message board to post opinions. Which leads to debates. Hell, Cordia and PCC both may not make the regional tournament. I personally think there 5 teams that could win and represent this region. I like some teams chances a little better but 5 teams with a legit shot.

Hey lets says cordia wins the region and the court injuction is overturn than what happens? The players are rule ineligible. I just wander when is the court injuction is to run out? I think that KCC, Cordia, hazard and PCC all can win the region. It will depends on the draw for the 14 th region. Dont think that letcher county will be an easy win for Cordia in the district. Never know how letcher will play as the undedog and how cordia will play as the favorite. Cordia might be over looking letcher and thinking about kcc in the district final. Crazy things happens in district play.

IMO, the region is a toss up still at this point. Cordias played KCC close, Hazards played them close, Letchers played them close, and PCCs beat them. It just depends on what team shows up to play. One of the top teams in region will be knocked out in the first round of district automatically. I know one thing, it is going to very exciting watching all these teams try and compete for this..

With either Hazard or PCC growing stronger from the W.

KCC has a strong advantage at this point.

Knott and Perry has great ball clubs but I'm gonna say it's Hazard and Cordia in the finals with Cordia edging out the Dawgs 59-57. Not overlooking Breathitt or LCC either just my prediction for 14th.

Humpty Dumpty is no Cordia fan. He might have attended Cordia at some point in his life, probably might have been a patriot for a while lol. A true Cordia fan is someone who supports the Cordia team,coach, school and sport win or loose. KHSAA12 gets bashed a lot for his comments, but everyone on this board knows who his loyalty goes to. And yes Humpty, I think he has a job and a life. There are worse things one could do than cater to Rodrick Rhodes. If he has a few more winning seasons, do you think Humpty might jump back on the Cordia bandwagon? Aw who would want him?

I think Perry wins it. No one has the talent or size to contain Johnson and Cornett. Then you add Beverly to the mix just to much talent for anyone in the region to handle.

Better not leave Breathitt Co out of the mix. They have underachieved but come tourney time on neutral sites anything can happen.

Your looking for consistancy here and to me Knott County has been the most consistant. I know Perry has beat them twice but both times at Punkins Palace but on a nutreal floor it may be a different outcome. And the only advantage Perry has on Hazard is its at Punkins Palace, Perry at time is very inconsistance. My pick is KNOTT COUNTY. The Cordia Creekers cant beat Hazard or Perry and then Knott. Its not going to happen there as close to RUPP ARENA this year as there going to get.
