I do and yes....it finally came up for me this morning at 8:00am. I believe there is still some issues now and then...
What a great way to start off a semester, Blackboard has been down since Monday.

Thanks. I thought it may have been my computers. This is my first time taking online classes and I was worried I was going to have to go to a library.

No you will be good, just keep trying to access the page.
Also, Blackboard works best with Firefox.
I just checked and it appears to be running slow and having some hangups again.

I hate blackboard.
When i was at EKU, i took online classes like they were going out of style.
Between the retarded discussion board postings and live chats, it about drove me nuts.

Yeah, Blackboard isn't the best software to use. I have to also use it for the College of Medicine so when it has fits, I have to deal with it two-fold.
They did this huge update over the holidays. I knew the update was coming but they didn't bother to tell anyone what options would be changing.
And now, over two weeks later, it still isn't working for some colleges.

^good luck this semester....i would spend some time finding my way around Blackboard. that will help you with future online classes...
i have taken online classes for years, because you are pretty much on your own, in the beginning set a schedule of which days you will set aside to study. also make sure that you document due dates for assignments and exams. sometimes professors will not remind you. in the beginning i would find myself procrastinating and forgetting about assignments because i was use to a classroom and not studying on my own.
hope this helps.

Trust me, once you get use to online, you'll never go back to school unless you have to.
I spent my last two years doing online classes.

Agreed.......the only thing I hate is when the final exam of an online class is proctored....I have had two of those so far and hated it.
