Pikeville 62 East Ridge 53 (15th Region All "A" Classic)
#1
Final.
#2
Must have been quite a come back. Pikeville down 13 at the half
#3
Wow...tough loss for ER. Was planning on going but I have the flu. Looks like I missed a pretty good game, haha. Congrats to Pikeville.

#4
It was a good game, a tale of two halfs. Pikeville made the correct adjustments at halftime and came out with lots of pressure. East Ridge looked a little tired at end. They meet two more time is next 3 weeks , should be good games.
#5
I wanted to go see this game just because of the bad blood lol..
Congrats Pikeville, keep your head up East Ridge.
#6
Congrats Panthers!!! Pikeville's defense in the 2nd half was the difference in this one.

East Ridge owned the 1st half. Pikeville just wore them down in the 2nd. ER was gasping for air in the 4th.

Good luck to both on the season.

Definitely a game of two halves. The next two regular season games between Pikeville and ER will be battles.

Was disappointed in the action of a certain adult in the ER fan-base heckling a certain Pikeville basketball player. We often tolerate students heckling players because of their lack of maturity but for an adult to act this way is shameless.

Again it was a great game.

Pikeville use to be one of the "best" school's for heckling, when I was younger my dad use help out with Pike Central so in turn I was the waterboy. So, what does the Pikeville Student section do? They drew up a nice parody portrait of 7 year old me. Not going to lie it was hilarious I think my father has a picture of it somewhere I will have to look it up for you.

Congrats pville

Did anyone do anything? Let that crap happen while I'm there, I'll put them out myself. Adults heckling kids, any kid, is uncalled for and unacceptable.

Agreed, students will be students and that is expected. I expect a rowdy group of ER students when PHS heads that way, and as long as the taunting is verbal by students, no one should say anything. That is what rivalries are all about.

But that adult should be ashamed of himself regardless of what he thinks of a player. It was all night, every time there was a dead ball and the arena was quiet. If I was an ER fan, I would have been embarrassed to be sitting near him. Can't believe no one said anything to him.

Hopefully, it was out of character, emotions got the best of him, and it won't happen again. It would be sad for something like that to overshadow what should be at least two more very competitive games this season.

Proud of the way the Panthers came out after the break and battled all the way back. Need to find a way to bottle that flow and bring it every night!

ER has improved a lot since I last saw them play, excited about seeing them again, good luck until then!

Exactly! I agree 100% man. Unacceptable and I can't believe no one said anything...let an adult try it during the next two. Ridiculous...

He was an old guy with glasses and an old man hat. He was an embaressment to ER.
Of course you had the dad of one of the players throwing around F bombs to the top of his lungs. With small children sitting all around him.

Wish i had sat on the Pikeville side. Some of ER's faithful need to stay home and listen on the radio.

That old man used to be Kosango's guardian. His name was Randall Good if am correct. His behavior the other day when ER was PHS was pitiful IMO. He literally kept making fun of Kosango, consistently kept chanting USA! USA! USA! And also told him to take the greyhound back to Canada. It sickens me to even think that an old man like him would actually say stuff like to a 17 year old kid. On top of that from what I hear Kosango's dad was there watching the game too and that still didnt stop him from acting like a lunatic. Its sad.
#15
And here is what the funny thing is, from what I heard his old guardian is the one that asked him to leave in the first place, and for him to act a certain way towards 17 year old is pitiful, just pitiful.
#16
If he acts like that in Pikeville's gym he will probably be escorted out before the end of the 1st quarter.:gtfo:

OMG, surely not. If that was his guardian i dont blame him for leaving.

I have a newly found respect for Kasongo now. He has to be one tough kid if he lived with that excuse for a human being.

Kasongo did blow him a kiss after a made free throw when the guy was mouthing at him.

Looks like their would be better back ground checks on these people. I feel sorry that Kasongo had to live with such a person.

I am not condoning any actions but most of the posters on here give totally one sided accounts of situations. On the other side Silvers was putting the idea in Kosogos head all summer to leave and come live with him. When he decided that was his course he went out his way to be a problem in the Good household to the point of talking smack about Goods family. Then at the hearing which actually made him eligible some pretty bad accusations were made so the judge would rule in his favor So if you are telling about a situation tell the whole story.
#19
^ All i can say is Mr. Good (how ironic) showed enough about his character at the game.
I know there two sides to every story, but his public display of being an idiot said alot about him.
#20
And it seems like every so often people have to get on this site and defend Kosongo no matter where is is playing. Every time you turn around he is at the center of another controversy. I for one believe that most times he is the cause not the object of the problem. And I have heard the Hes just a 17 year old kid enough. I 17 year old is old enough to be held accountable for his actions.
#21
I have know Mr good my entire life. He is as good a man as you will ever meet. He has been a minister for over 30 years. He raised a houseful of super children, one a high ranking official with Pikeville hospital Two more are excellent teachers in the Pike Co school system. I dont know all the details but Kosongo must have hurt him pretty bad. Again I am not defending any actions and I was not at the game but to get on a public site and bash someone for one mistake is not right either
#22
I think he did get hurt fcviking but that doesn't excuse his behavior. He will have two more Pikeville/ER games to have his emotions under control. I also agree that he shouldn't be judged by one ugly incident.

Glad to see you've come around. It wasn't very long ago you were on here calling Raymond Justice and his then 8th grade son cowards.

Glad to see you have grown up.
#24
I stated twice that I did not condone his actions but again I will state there are two sides to every story. As for Vundy33 statements if you confront ER people at the next game all you are going to do is throw gas on an already smoldering situation

You are correct. No one should bash someone for one mistake. You had to have been their to know what we are all talking about. This was not a one time thing. It continued the entire game, and i mean the entire game.

By the actions of this man at the game i for one would have never in my lifetime thought he would be a minister. I have never seen a minister act in such a manner at a high school event.

Yes 17 years old is old enough to be held accountable for you actions. One time during all of this Kasongo blew the guy a kiss after a made free throw. This happened i believe late 3rd or early 4th quarter. Only after an hour of mouthing from the so called minister. All i can say is on this particular night his actions where more sinister than minister.
#26
I too have a lot more of respect for Kosango. The whole entire game ER would just foul the crap out of him, left and right. On top of that Kosango had to deal with being made fun of for being Canadian, which by the way i find pretty ridiculous. But am proud of him and have a lot more respect towards him for keeping his composure, surely if they were doing it to me I probably would have got thrown out of the game.
#27
How is Mr. Good a good man? After what he's done ? A 60 or 70 year old man picking on a 17 year old kid for switching into a different school ? Calling him every name in the book, consistently chanting USA! And telling him to take the greyhound back to Canada.
Is that really how a 70 year old man should act ? After all its just basketball and life goes on whether you like it or not.
#28
Here is what I have a hard time understanding, if I am correct Mr. Good is the one that asked him to leave. So why act in such a way ?
#29
Please read all posts and just not the ones that back your view. I stated Kosogo and Silvers had to come up with a plan to get a transfer of guardianship. So the plan was for the Kosongos to become pains at the Good house which they did. When Goods grown children questioned their actions the Kosongos made some harsh statements made toward them That is when the Kosongos were ask to leave. Silvers master plan worked perfectly. I find it funny that Pikeville fans raised cane about the Candanians last year but suddenly they have more respect for them now that they play for Pikeville.

Again the adult from ER was shameless at the game. NO excuse.
