Not surprised by the outcome, surprised by the margin though. Congrats to PC!

Pulaski has just owned Southwestern the last couple of seasons. It seems to be a matchup thing. Southwestern showed last year that they were extremely talented when they won the region and made a deep run in the Sweet Sixteen. For some reason their personnel and/or scheme just doesn't match up with Pulaski.

Congrats to Gover and PC.
I thought it was a very physical game. Two really good teams going at it. With all the fouling and flopping from both teams, the game never really had much of a flow.
PC is alot better this year than last, because their 4-6 players( Burton, Hall and #5) are much improved. SW lost a lot to graduation and will be much improved by tournament time.
Official Mark Bryant hurt his knee in the first quarter and had to miss the 2nd half. I hope he is ok and it is nothing too serious. In my opinion he is one of the top three refs in the 12th region. Bottoms did a good job of standing in for him in the second half. It was a hard game to officiate.

Is this the year for Pulaski Co. to make some noise at Rupp?

I agree with Willie. The play of Burton and Ross, along with Hall, made a difference in the outcome of this game.

SW dictated the tempo and style of this game. They wanted to be aggressive and take it right at PC. SW made a tactical error. THE worst thing to do is challenge PC's toughness this year. Believe me or not the teams that have beat PC have played sagging half court D. The teams that have wanted to get physical have been beat.
SW may or may not be the best team in the region but they got the game they wanted (with officiating allowing their style) at home and came up short.
Edwards was excellent. I love his game. Gover outplayed kapinga. Shultz is as scrappy as they come and works his butt off.
Burton,Laign, Ross, Hall, all did their part for PC.
It was a great game and we might see this THREE more times this year

Just think we're SW would be without Kapinga. I still don't think they'll ever beat the Maroons but they would be in a world of hurt. Is that 9 wins in a row for the Maroons over the warriors if it is that's total domination!

PC has won 9 in a row? That is a good run. However SW probably won the previous 9 before this run.
After Pc's big three graduates this year, SW will win at least 15 in a row.

SW has a dedicated and hard working middle school coach. He develops players as well as anyone in the area.

Pulaski has won the last 6 meetings between the two schools, then Southwestern won 4 in a row before that.

SW is 1-6 the past 3 seasons against the Maroons...that is not including the next 2 games coming up.

Pulaski County is clearly the team to beat with Southwestern and West Jess following closely behind. Wayne and Somerset have an outside shot at winning the region. The winner will come from those 5 with Pulaski clearly playing the best right now. Wayne's 2 losses to average 4th region teams on the road keep them from being mentioned in the top tier but Wayne would probably beat all three at home and are capable of defeating any of them come regional tourney time when they are shooting the 3 well. Just tough to shoot it well 3 games in a row.
