My mommmy past away last night at 6pm. I will miss her immensely. She has been my best friend who I will dearly miss. Her name was Mary "Baker" Lane and was originally from Leslie County. She was born April 18, 1933 and will be remembered as the kindness person anyone could wish to meet.

JagSwag, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss! My mom passed in 2004 and, like your mom, required 24/7 care for months before her death. I remember for weeks afterward, I would feel like there was "something" I needed to do because her care had taken so much of my time.

Try to focus on the positive. Your mom lived 78 years, and with your care until the end! I know you have taken amazing care of her, and she was a lucky woman to have you there.

No doubt that you were very special to her!!

Thoughts and prayers to you and yours Jag. Please know a Mothers love is never forgotten. I was a rebellious 20 something when my Mom "moved up" due to breast cancer in the mid 90s. Cry when you feeled moved to do so and talk about her moving forward when you feel to do so. Your Momma is with you always.

Sorry to hear this JagSwag.
My mother is still alive but I lost my grandmother 4 years ago who was truly like my mother to me.
I can only imagine what you are going through.
