Who Would u want as your ref in the 14th reigon?

Obviously that is a major decision, since that we would be picking between the lesser of three evils.

Brian Cook hands down.

Jeff Ritchie seems like a good one.

Dexter Campbell!

Brian Napier SPUDS!!! He the real deal.

Obviously they have a major impact on the game. I like a game where they are consistant - call it tight or call nothing - then the players and coaches can adjust. Usually the more agressive team gets the calls.

Depends on which coach you ask who is the best.

I like Roy Spencer, Brian Cook and Spuds as the top 3. I just think they are on top of their game right now. Dexter and Dirk's eyes just aren't what they use to be. JMO!!! I know that Roy, Dexter & Dirk are honest ppl and would not hurt a team on purpose for anything. That means a lot to me personally. I don't know the others that well.

I like that list of hazard natives. I think Glenn Napier and former Tommy Hutton from neon was two of the best in the 14th. Studs is a good young official to he will be one of the best around here when the vets retire but I cant stand watching Jeff Richie and Spuds. They act like they're out there to look pretty strutting up and down the court. Geez

Is there one???????

Does anyone know if Harrison still refs?

The most consistent ref, and one who doesn't seem to get rattled by crowds or coaches, is Dexter Campbell. He's been calling 14th region games since the 1970's. I've always found him to be a very fair, unbiased official.

If I had any say in Perry Co. athletics, the guy would not step foot into a school. You all obviously do not know this guy like I know him.

I personally liked playing while either Donnie (who was just to lazy to make many calls) and Dirk (who let you play a little rougher than usual) reffed. But my favorite is Kristy, I think is her name. I'd rather have her than anyone.
I never liked Cook, especially at Knott. Spuds, I think I would rather have a blind ref than him. And who ever said Tommy Hutton are you kidding me? The dude was betting on high school games he was reffing, how could you ever trust that guy? He moved to the 15th then got in all that trouble.

I like Jeff Ritchie because he doesnt care who wins. He gets up and down the floor and actually talks to the kids telling them what they are doing wrong. At least he does this at the youth level. He is a professional at the high school and college level. Needs to be in the SEC.
Brian Napier gets up and down the floor and actually lets them play kind of physcial. Already one of the best refs.
Dexter Campbell - Been great for years.
Tommy Hutton - Was always fair at the Elementary level and seemed fair at the high school level to me. He just didnt bow down to some certain coaches and kiss their ass.
Kristie Combs and Roy Spencer - I like them both but I think they call to many tic tac fouls at times. Roy gets a little whistle happy. Great guy though.

Everybody who has played basketball in 14th has had good games and bad games called by every ref in the 14th. I honestly believe though that some refs hold grudges, just my opinion folks, just throwing that out there.
I like Jeff Ritchie, Flinchum, never been a fan of spuds though, in grade school ball we never got a single good game called by him.

Do you really think no other refs bet on games? if so you are clueless I promise you that. I know for a fact some of the names are mentioned in this thread bet on games. Hutton is a very good official in this area. He dont take no shit.
12-05-2012, 09:22 AM
Is TH even reffing anymore?
