Cordia guard sought
#2
How long before rhodes runs him and the rest of his recruits off?
#3
With a mentor like Brandon Bender - this sky is the limit!
:problem:
#4
If they got guys like that up at Cordia, why are they losing around here?
#5
^They haven't had their full team together yet. 7 players were out in the game against somerset and 8 against bath county. Once this kid and the other 2 are ruled eligible Cordia will be whole different team only playing 3 players from last years roster. This looks to be a promising season for Cordia if Emmanuel and Marlon are ruled eligible. A.j, Owens, and Dondre would be the other starters if the Canadians are ruled eligible. Only one starter from last season.
#6
Well I'd like to see these kids play if they truly are this good. Sounds like they would be fun to watch.

From the ridiculous to the sublime. Hard to believe the state of affairs that has become Kentucky (can we call it that in Cordia?) HS basketball.

Wow!

Smh...good luck to the kid, but he just has no idea...

It seems like you may have no idea whats happened at Cordia this year. I understand everyone's doubts because of the high hopes that were a epic fail last season. But do you honestly think Emmanuel is the only new kid at Cordia this year? I would tell you the exact number but you probably wouldn't believe me if i did. If everyone knew that exact number we wouldn't hear the end of it on here. Trust me when i say only 3 kids that played last year will see the floor, and this Cordia team will make region. Dondre Warren will surprise every team in the region along with Marlon King. And that's not even half:Thumbs:

Im really excited that Rhodes has came through this yr. I hope all those kids get eligible quickly. If all do then this region is 5 teams deep and will be a blast to watch them duke it out. Easily the most talented the 14th has EVER been. Sit back and enjoy all this talent!!!!

^All are besides Marlon and Emmanuel. Just waiting on the khsaa for rulings

I'd say Vundy is talking about the kid being mentored by AAU extraordinaire Brandon Bender.
#14
^lol i think every canadian kid has had something to do with him. I know personally Rhodes has nothing for the guy. But Emmanuel is dying to play for ucla. So maybe Rhodes can keep them out of contact having connections with them. If so i apologize for misunderstanding Vundy

FYI:Cordia's varsity players from last year: Braxton Tackett, Zack Owens, Cory Smith, Austin Combs, Robbie Rios and Justin Cornett (from Hazard). Braxton, Zack and Austin started tonight. All have had ample playing time tonight and in the scrimmages. Rhodes uses pretty much the entire bench, pushing them in and out. Other younger boys from last year are on junior varsity. No doubt that some of the new players are key to the Lions success. This team plays hard on defense and offense. We'll see how they do against Lexington Cath.

Do the people of Cordia actually support all these "NAFTA imports"?
#17
^Every single one. Owens, rios, tackett and cornett are also transfers from different schools. No matter where your from if u got that jersey on your supported by Cordia fans. Talked to players and coaches after tonights game and both Emmanuel and Marlon look to be eligible by mid December. So Cordia will not even have their legitimate starting 5 until then. Those 2 will make this team deadly come tournament time.
#18
Could Cordia be for real this year? Or, will self destruct like last year!
#19
Good luck to Cordia, hope they do well. But I will say this, "There isnt a player up in Lotts Creek with the caliber to play for UCLA." I dont care what that article said. A UCLA recruit would be at a bigger school.

U mad bro?? Your a fool if you really think this kid isn't as legitmate as the article says. Go check him at on northpolehoops.com. Andrew Wiggins is #1 in 2014 and Emmanuel is #16. Rhodes isnt trying to get beat down again this year. Give the man credit for tryin to get Cordia somewhere. Korey Mccreay has already set up a trip to lotts creek sometime in january to check Emmanuel out for the THIRD time since his freshman year. Doubt he would come to eky for ocean views my friend.Confusednicker:

If the kid is as good as Jaysean Paige, I gotta see it. If those boys are THAT GOOD. They should win the state championship this year. Only time will tell. Its tough for a 5'10, skinny kid to go D1 anywhere.
#24
Like I said. You want proof. Go to northpolehoops. If andrew can go anywhere being number 1 I'm pretty sure he can get some looks at 16. And as far as a small school kid going places in college ball. Have you ever seen where Anthony Davis played high school ball, or all the prospects that come out of st.anthonys. I understand the doubt do to last years epic fail. But remember the only thing that stays the same is that everything changes. And its happened on lotts creek. And y'all don't even know bout Marlon.
#25
I heard of Marlon in that movie "Finding Nemo." LOL. Just being silly. I honestly really do hope Cordia kicks ass and takes names this year. Perry will be hard to handle with Braxton, Dalton, and Johnson. Pray aint a slouch either. The twins are bruts. Knotts loaded, Hazards loaded. Breathitt will not be as strong with out Fraley.
#26
Lol hhs is best of those 4 imo do to being so deep. Knott plays 6 kids, breathitt will be worse without fraley, and I've played with those twins numerous times perry has 4 players that's it but those 4 are damn good. Rhodes didn't play his starters the 2nd quarter last night letting the jv starters get a taste and their defense is surprisngly good. Cordia with all players eligible(had 4 out last night)imo are right with those 4 if not better than a couple. I don't think cordia has ever had 6'3, 6'4, and 6'5 at the 3, 4, and 5 positions and have a pretty decent bench. Like I said before people wouldn't believe me if I told them how many new players were at Cordia, but everyone willl see soon enough
#27
People tell me that a couple of these kids are D1. They may have one of the top players in east ky.
#28
^Dondre Warren and Marlon King are the other two kids that have d-1 talent and have actually had schools look at them besides Emmanuel. Dondre said he is more than likely to go to a mid-major d-1 near his hometown Newark,Nj. And was told by coaching staff that Murray State and Eku are interested in Marlon.
#29
"Cordia guard sought."

Is that like a want ad? Apparently they can do that.

Can I put in for a wing man for Johnson Central? Doesn't necessarily have to be Canadian. We'll take Italian, Somalian, Antarctican, whatever ya got.

Why does Brandon Bender only like to ship his mail-order kids to places in the deep mountains? Does he think the KHSAA can't find them there?
#30
The funny (sad) part is that there are some people on here that think this is acceptable... Need a player, then just go get one. If those imbeciles at the Khsaa can't figure this out then there's no hope.
