Thoughts and predictions on this 2A Semi Final game.
#2
Jumpers 14-7
#3
Somerset needs to run and stop the run.
#4
Ncc 42-28

Wish I had seen some of NCC's games this year. As of right now I have no idea how these teams match up.

Jumpers have played a pretty good schedule this year, but at times didn't look like they could score in a brothel.

NCC has also played a very good schedule and has scored 170 more points than Somerset has, so it doesn't seem as if scoring is an issue for them.

Looking forward to Friday night!!!

Somersets interior 7 is very good defensively, one of the best in 2a IMO. Offensively they are clicking rather well right now and have a pretty balanced attack at the moment. I don't make predictions but I sure can't wait to see this game!

Unfortunately, the game is at Somerset. I'll still take NCC.
#8
Ncc hasn't beaten a good team all year. That said, they don't play many.
#9
Somerset 24
NCC 18

I have seen both teams on alot of tape that doesn't always give you a great idea, but i will state my opionion anyways.

Def: I give the advantage to Somerset for there D line but NCC has a really good Def also.

Off: I give NCC the advantage but Somerset has look really good as of late.

Special Teams: I give NCC the advantage, but I dont see Somerset letting that beat them

Then you thrown in Home cooking Somerset has the advantage

All in all if the game is played even with turnovers and penalties throw a quarter up and take guess and you might get it right.

I havent seen home cooking at Somerset in all the years i played there.. I think we are getting the wrong refs or not paying them as much. I would very much like having some home cooking. It leaves a nice after taste (I would assume)

sorry what i meant about home cooking was its played at home a long drive for NCC and they haven't traveled this year how that will effect them is what i was getting at but i can see how it looks like im talking about the refs i should have stated it different.
#13
NCC 34 Somerset 17. Another Northern Kentucky team in the finals.

During current 7 game win streak NCC has played 1 team with power rating of 63 Beechwood. The other 6 below 43 power rating. 2 being below 18 and 1 of them at 0.1 , So you are right all those numbers they have been putting up are against inferior Teams. During Somerset's 7 game streak, they have played Danville twice Power rating at 68 and LCA Twice power rating at 53, and Perry Central power rating at 55. Should be a Good Game.

Power ranking LOL. 2 years in a row Holy Cross wasn't even ranked anywhere so i assume their ranking were very terrible what happen the # 1 team and 2 team in AA were both Northern Kentucky. I remember the top ten in AA and holy cross wasn't even thought of. Bottom line i have seen both these teams and they play 10 times they might split i will also say this is the state championship this year for 2A. Rankings change but these teams if eveyone is honest was and is the # 1 & 2 teams all year long in 2A.
#21
^I would have to agree. For the last half of the season at least these two have been head and shoulders above everyone else in 2A IMO.
#22
If we are going to throw Power ranking out lets go with this Frankfort plays Danville and wins by 14. Danvills plays Somerset twice and loses by an average of 22. Frankfort plays Beechwood and loses by 22, so I would say Beechwood is 22 points better then Danville the same as Somerset. This means Somerset and Beechwood are equal teams. NCC plays Beechwood and wins by 20, that makes me think NCC should win against Somerset by 20. Now I have seen both teams and now that all this is garbage and this game could go either way.
#23
For all you people who like or don't like Power Rating, bet all of you look at paper 1st thing Monday Morning. NCC and Somerset has been and are the best 2 teams in 2A. IMO it will be a close game.

You could also go with this: Simon Kenton beat Danville by 5. Simon Kenton beat Newport Central Catholic by 8. Somerset beat Danville by 17 and 24... That would mean Somerset is about 3 scores better than Newport Central Catholic. That's why score comparison is garbage.

Somerset's defense is filthy and NCC is flat out physical. This will come down to the success or struggles of Somerset's offense.

I think the 2A state championship will be won by one of these 2 teams
#28
It's a good thing they play those games in Bowling Green next week. Everybody has been picking against Caldwell County, and I hope they keep underestimating the fastest team in 2A.

NCC might put up 34 on Somerset but I doubt it. Hasn't been done by any team all year. In fact 24 has been the most put up. Somerset has given up 141 points in 13 games. Playing the best Schedule in 2A Football. I don't think the 34 will Come.:popcorn:

This should be a great game. Home field advantage will make the difference. Bunnies by 6.
