WYMT Mountain Classic Pairings
#1
Will be released during the sports segment of today's 6PM news Wink

There could be some big match-ups in this year's tourney!
#2
Top Bracket
Perry Central vs Clay County
Hazard vs Harlan County

Bottom Bracket
Breathitt County vs North Laurel
Knott County vs Betsy Layne
#3
Good matchups. Should be a pretty solid tournament.
#4
Betsey Lane will have a pretty solid team, but Knott Co. should have no problems getting the win. The rest of the first round games should be very interesting.
#5
There could be an all-14th semi-finals!
But don't count out these other teams
#6
Why only one 15th region team? Can't believe that Johnson Central did not get an ORIGINAL invite.

:pondering:
#7
didnt Hazard play Harlan County in the first round last year?

A team either dropped out or declined if I remember correctly.
#9
^Sheldon Clark was in it then I assume dropped out.

IF.......

Semi-Finals
Hazard -vs- Perry Central
Knott Central -vs- Breathitt County

Finals
Hazard-or-Perry -vs- Knott-or-Breathitt

3rd Place
Hazard-or-Perry -vs- Knott-or-Breathitt

Would bring a lot of money into the tournament...

WYMT did it right....

Are the brackets reversed?
I thought WYMT said the Harlan County-Hazard game was the second night.
#14
Great event. Great basketball.
#15
Should be another great event.

Either Johnson Central didn't apply or wasn't accepted. Either way it is a shame, because JC and Shelby Valley are the only two descent teams in the 15th.
#16
A Perry and Hazard possible match up.
This could get interesting.
