Got to take pburg, I heard this weekend that pburg is getting a heck of a running back next year, but get the job done this year cats, Good luck!!!!

If you dont mind me asking who would that running back be? Prestonsburg averages about 300 yards a game throwing the ball on about 25 pass attempts a game. When you take out their quarterback Jarrell's yardage ,they average around 81 yards game running the ball with Grant Anderson and Dalton Frasure. Anderson is a junior and Frasure is a freshman. Anderson averages 38 yards a game and Frasure averages 43 yards a game. Prestonsburg hasnt had a running back rush for 1000 yards since 2008. Prestonsburg is a program that I admire a great deal but I have to ask you dns why would a "heck of a running back" transfer to play football at Prestonsburg? If the running back that you're reffering to, isnt getting the carries that you think he should,where he's at, what makes you think he'll get them at Prestonsburg?

This has the making for a good football game. Pburg has done well in a weak district, while Middlesboro has gone through the meat grinder. I think this one comes down to the end.

This one could be close, I know that Middlesboro isn't a pushover (ask the Jumpers and the Admirals), however the central theme in both ball games was the location and officiating. I don't know how a young Middlesboro team will respond on the road in a tough environment. Middlesboro definitely has the talent to make this game interesting, and I hope that all the district 7 teams have a good first round showing.

i cant wait to watch this game.middlesboro has been stepping it up latley. there defence really playing football. im gonna tell ya p burg had better be ready. they cant look past the jackets. if there do there gonna go home with there tails between there legs. id say middlesboro takes it by two touchdowns..

District 7 in 2A is easily the deepest district IMO! The Blackcats better play a near perfect game if they want to win this game. I do think that Middlesboro will win the game because they have consistently played better competition and I think they are the better team.

Middlesboro runs down P-burgs throats with the occasional dagger down field with a pass, P-burg is a tough place to play. Middlesboro hasn't won there since 2002, I feel the streak will be broken this year! Mboro wins 28-21, I would watch #58 Tyler Prater I'm feeling 15+ tackles on this game

Should be a great game. Don't know too much about the Yellow Jackets this year, but it seems like they payed well in their district but they couldn't come up with that win.

Blackcats will have their hands full in this one. Defense will be the key for Prestonsburg though, because they will have to force turnovers and make plays at the line or in the backfield.

Prestonsburg's run defense has stepped up the last 3 games. Their have been adjustments made to the defense through out the year. I think they finally have things in place. If the defense continues to play the way they have over the last 3 games then the Blackcats win.

If they play the way they did the 1st half of the season it could be the end of the Blackcats season.

Over these last 3 games i have seen more vocal leadership on the field from more than just 1 or 2 players now. This is what i was use to seeing in years past that I did not see in the prior 2 years and the results showed. I think these boys are finally hungry. You are now starting to see the swagger on defense that was there in years past. There are several young guys on defense that now have a season under there belt and it shows.

Blackcats come out and show there doubters they are for real.

Wow man. That is no way to talk about kids.

I'm sure you dont understand the sacrifices these kids make just to step on the field on Friday nights. The weight training in the winter. The hot summer conditioning and practices. The punishment their bodies take on Friday nights.

In my book any kid who goes through this and is still their come seasons end, no matter if there 0-10 is a WINNER.

Suprise!!! #40 is just a little bit more than a big kid. Looked to me like he ran the ball very well tonight--and he did not look that slow to me. I am not sure where you got your films? You also forgot about #11 and the rest of the Blackcat offense.

You must have watched that film in slow motion, or there was a dust storm in P'burg Friday night one.
Great game by #40 Dalton Frasure (freshman) as he run down a defender who had intercepted a pass in the end zone and ran it back to the other goal line before Frasure ran him down and made a touchdown saving tackle just before halftime. (inches from the goal line)
I've not seen any official stats yet, but i'm sure he had over a hundred yards rushing. I can recall a touchdown run of over 20 yards in which the slower than dirt #40 out ran all Middlesboro defenders. Not to mention the game winning 52 yard reception he had in which he drug 2 defenders 6 yards into the end zone.

#34 Alex kid had a nice touchdown reception, and #18 Adam Griffith had several nice receptions across the middle for 1st downs.

Just goes to show we are not a one trick pony as some thought. (mboro_finest)
