IMO though, they should have beat Pulaski, as well as MS.
I watched us dismantle Pulaski, and watched North play Pineville. I just wasn't impressed. Maybe theyve improved since then?
Once again i will be shocked if North keeps it close, especially at Whitley.

Correct! North hasnt won one single title. Not even a playoff game! So dont ask me about our district and region titles when ours outnumbers your entire county.
I think South only has one, back when Neil Warren was at South, 99 maybe? Even then, that's only one.
I LOVE beating Laurel County.:redboxer:
I don't know about 99 but laurel won distict in 1986 or 87 back when Glenn Polly was their coach, that's when their district was all Lexington schools. And I believe they won one in the late 70's or early 80's when coach Bell was there. That's when Veron Johnson played for them before he went on to play for the Houston oilers. So to say laurel has only won district title is wrong.

If scoring 5 straight TD in 5 possessions and holding Pulaski to 0 is no dismantling a team, then you are correct sir.

Were talking about North and South Laurl there bucko.
Read the thread and you would understand.
Were not referring to Laurel County, Hazel Green, or willie Wonka Land, all of which do not exist.
North Laurel has one district title. One. That is all i asked, but its amazing it took 3 pages to get the answer. Ill give credit to 3 wishes for finally answering. I still havent got a direct answer about South's total number. When somebody asked me about Whitleys, i came out and stated our horrible past and how bad we sucked for years, but didnt get the favor in return. I know the answer to that as well, but just waiting on the answer. I suppose i wouldnt want to answer it either.

Nelson will be dressed for the game and ready to play! Go JAGS. We are going to show up and represent North Laurel. No easy road Whitley. Furthermore, I like Madison Southern and Pulaski to have wins also.
11-01-2012, 04:23 PM
The D1 recruit will definitely add some action to the playoffs!!
11-01-2012, 04:25 PM
Nelson will not be playing. This was confirmed by a bunch of kids at school. He is in a cast I also heard. Wish he were
11-01-2012, 07:55 PM
It must be an invisible cast..... Just saying!
11-01-2012, 09:28 PM
One thing is for sure south is a basketball school they do win at that. Now what does whitley win at......nothing

If for one could not care any less about how many titles that NORTH or SOUTH Laurel have or don't have. I could not care less about how many titles district or region that Whitley does or does not have.
I could not care less about the russian propaganda that is being put out there about both teams phantom injuries or real injuries.
None of that has a bearing on game itself.
Looking at the teams, they are very equal. I will say that when you look at the schedules Whitley has played a tougher schedule, meaning I think Whiltey's 6-4 is more impressive than the 6-4 of North. North has a physically strong team, but I think that Whitley is a little more polished and versed in what they do. I think that Whitley will be surprising in some parts of the game. They have not shown all their cards but you may see the playbook opened up, and see things that you have never seen before. I am sure that there will be new wrinkles in the North offense too.
But with all that said it will not be the Xs and Os that win this game it will be the Jimmys and the Joes. Whitley will be more physical and that will be the difference.

Whitley will not have to show anything new in this game to win.
11-02-2012, 03:18 AM
So half the fans say he will play. The other half says he will not.
Will we have to wait until tomorrow to find out?

Well, ive finished up my trolling for this week. Now that ive got a couple of you mad, time to focus on the game.
North Laurel has been a pleasent surprise this year, but the schedule makes me wonder. I still remember being surprised after seeing the Russell County score. Blair and Nelson are a hard duo to contain. From what im hearing, he will NOT be playing, even though some are holding out hope he will. I truly hope he does. I would like to see how Whitleys defense stands up to a decent running game.
I do think Whitley will be to physical for North. When it comes to in game scenarios, any time Whitley has a short down to convert, I honestly believe a hand off to Bryant will work 99% of the time. With Ysidro back this week, our offense is almost at full strength. I know North hasn't played an offense like ours this year, or even close to it, so film would have been a must this week in order to prepare.
IMO, North keeps it close until halftime. Whitley has been somewhat of a second half team all year. Blair and Nelson will get there yards, but there biggest concern will be containing Whitleys rushing attack. Whitley D will get a fast back to contain of there own.
I could see a 1 TD game at the half, but Whitley runs away in the second.
Whitley 41
North 20

I am going to have to call you out on this one and expose you for the fraud that you are. I happened to get a hold of the tape from the "SCRIMMAGE" and watched Pulaski score on the very first possession of the game-I didn't even watch anymore of it because that told me all I need to know about your false statements you put on here. You would think a Mod would do a little more research before posting. :dontthink

I would vote for this statement going down as a BGR classic!!!
Whitley will be too much for the Jags, IMO!!
I do believe it will be a closer match up that most do.
Good luck, and hopefully play an injury free game.

You want research? Go back to th thread the alked about the scrimmage, and you see where i posted a NEWPAPER ARTICLE saying exactly that.
Ask LeeCoUKFan, he didnt believe me either until i sent him the article in a PM.

I hope Whitley Co doesn't come into this one thinking that its a sure win because NL could win this game just as easy as Whitley can. I think this will be a good game with NL surprising a few people and I honestly wouldn't be shocked if the Jags win this game but, I have to go with the Colonels at home.
Whitley Co. - 28
North Laurel - 14

I am not calling anyone out but, I made it to that scrimmage very late, probably shouldn't have gone but, I was told by several that were there for the whole scrimmage that it was fairly even. I would have to go back to my old text messages to see exactly what was said but, I was told that Pulaski was definitely not shutout. Now RIUTG, I am in no way saying that you are wrong I just know that I was told something different and was really confused after we spoke and I am still kinda of confused about the whole situation. You have people that were at the scrimmage for Pulaski saying one thing and then the Whitley newspaper saying something different and you don't want to call anyone a liar. So, it is what it is. I guess. If I still have my text messages, I will post them on here. I personally would like to see the game film so I know for a fact what happened.

Back in 2010 season Pulaski Co. beat us pretty bad, then in the Regional Championship game it was a different story. So it doesnt matter who won a scrimmage or week 1 game. Its who got better over the season to get ready for games like this. Good Luck to both teams. Go BEARS!!!!!!!
11-02-2012, 03:50 PM
I too was at the scrimmage. PC scored on play #10 of their first 10 play possession. Whitley scored three times on their first possession. PC did not score on their second possession, Whitley scored twice on their third possession, PC (I think) scored once one their third possession and WC secured once. Then they did special teams, then JV, then one more possession each of varsity.
And what does all of that have to do with the game on Friday?

Well said, I was there for both of those games. Anyways, I am sure all teams have gotten better and it will be interesting to see what happens.
