How do you see it playing out? Who meets in the Finals?
There appears to be a clear cut set of contenders in Central, Bell, Breathitt, Belfry, Bourbon, and Ft. Campbell.
For fun I did a blind comparison, you rank their resume's in order:

Goin by what you have provided C and D have to be Breathitt and Bourbon. Not knowing which is which, I will go with D based off your information. Just to make it to Bowling Green where Central (a,b,e, or f) will be there to bring them back to reality.

This must be Belfry. EKUAlum05 I hate to break it to you but Johnson Central isn't a top 5 Caliber team in 4A. They aren't even a top 5 team in the mountains in my opinion. The win over Johnson Central isn't as impressive as you make it out to be.

If Central can beat Bell at Bell, then they will have no trouble with
Belfry on a neutral field. Belfry(and they need to get past Breathitt first)
needs to pull hard for a Bell win on Log mountain.

Fair enough,, they were ranked #6 in 4A last week and not #5. I will change it to reflect Top 10 instead of Top 5.

Central vs Belfry/Breathitt winner.
As of now I say the Belfry/Breathitt game is a tossup. I think Breathitt is a slightly better team due to having Trent at the QB spot but with the game being at Belfry I think that evens it out.

FWIW,
I think looking solely at those numbers it paints an interesting picture
To me team F and Team B have the best resumes by far and have done so with unquestionably the best SOS.F gets the edge for a harder SOS, better "best win", and for competing better in their losses.
Teams C and D are almost interchangeable.D has the ever so slight advantage of SOS, but C has the better victory.
Team E has a stronger SOS then C/D, but also has two losses to show for it.
Team A, IMO, has the weakest blind resume of all. Their two losses are skewing their numbers to strengthen their SOS, but they were badly outscored in those games.Otherwise everything else about their resume is fairly mundane.
I would say:
F
B
C/D
E
A

I really believe the HC loss woke Bell up and I really believe that they will win the region...it is not easy to come on log mountain and win and that is where Central will have to go.
10-29-2012, 05:59 PM
if bourbon get out of regonals they will probably be playing belfry and belfry will shut them out

I am a Pirate fan for 50+ years and think I know a little about footbal,, Johnson C. is the best team in the mountains an hope one day to see J. Matney at Belfry, but looks like Belfry and Central and JC third round.

I'm assuming with Central going to Log Mountain talk, that the Bell County side of the bracket hosts the Semi-State? Who hosts the other side?

Breathitt/Belfry winner hosts, I think. Belfry had to travel last year for semi-state so it should be district 7/8 team hosting.

Belfry, if they win out

JC beat Ashland and Ironton both, i dont think Breahitt beats either one of them, nor do they beat Henry Clay..its all about matchups...

You guys need to put your crystal balls up.The only team we(Breathitt) are looking at right now is Sheldon Clark. We take it one team at a time. When you look past someone that's when you get beat.

Last year Tilghman hosted the regional finals where they laid their egg against Fort Campbell. And then Central traveled to Fort Campbell for the semis. Central will play that semi game at home this year. My guess is the regional finals out here should be a repeat of last year with the finals at FC. To get to the finals, Tilghman will probably have to beat Monroe @ Monroe which is a long hike and Monroe is tough. Given Tilghman's chameleon like ability to go from bad to good and vice versa, predicting what they will do is futile. #1 seed Fort Campbell has an easier path.

Two simple words: Belfry rolls.
10-30-2012, 09:56 AM
Any team can be beaten by another on any given
night, I just hope none of these teams look ahead
because this Friday night a new season begins and all
of the teams records as of this Friday night are 0-0
and I hope all the teams play to the best of their
abilities and also for all games to be injury free.

Bell has home field advantage all the way through the playoffs...as long as they win...they are at home...that is until Bowling Green.
