Thoughts,and predictions.

Bowling Green big.

With their QB, Lex Cath could be dangerous to Bowling Green but without him, I don't think their defense can contain the Purples.
#5
I hope everyone keeps thinking LexCath is an underdog going into the playoffs. This team is undefeated against Kentucky teams (against a tough schedule!). Their defense is only giving up 12 points a game against Kentucky teams. Their sophomore QB is pretty good. I believe he has thrown 9 TD passes in 2 & 1/2 games. If I recall, Boyle was up by 9 on LexCath going into the 4th & after he got into the flow of the game, he led a comeback win. That is pretty impressive. Good Luck to all teams as the playoffs begin next week!

I am looking forward to watching this game. Bolin is a stud, but the rest of the team is still there and it sounds like his backup has stepped up. I don't think BG will overlook them. The Purples defense is pretty good and look out for #12 Nacarius Fant. Watching him is worth the price of admission.

My prediction in no way was meant to "short sell" Lex Cath. It is pointing out how good Bowling Green is playing this year.

The win vs. Boyle was impressive because the Knights overcame so much but it was more their running game than passing game that hurt the Rebels.

The only common opponent is Lafayette. Lex Cath won 42-7 (with Bolin) and the Purples beat the Generals 42-20. This alone should reveal that the Knights can beat the Purples. I just feel that the Purples have a slight edge.

NO ONE is dissing the Knights.

This should be an interesting game. Lex Cath is not going to be blown out and their new QB looked good to me several games ago when I saw him play. I am sure he is even playing better now after starting several games; he has very good size and throws a nice ball. I think this will be a close game, and I am leaning ever so slightly towards BG winning.

BG at home in a close one.

WHAT?? Try powerhouse Ensworth Academy, Perenial powerhouse Bell County, Boyle County. Playoff contenders (6A) and district champ Lafayette, Male of Louisville and Madison Central. Who has BG played bro?

This is getting fun. If you would have seen the Purples play Warren Central and Greenwood the last two weeks, you would not think this game will be close. Just my opinion.

Yes the knights running game was a big part of the Boyle county win, but the running lanes were closed until their passing game opened them. Lex Cath passed for 127 yds. and ran for 81 after the Ryan kid came in.

As far as Bowling Green goes .......the Purples will b a different animal compared to the teams Reese has faced so far.I just hope he gains a lot of useable experience that will prepare him for Catholic's playoff run.

Bowling Green 45 to 14.The closest thing Lex Cath has seen to Bowling Green this year is Ensworth Tenn.not saying BG is as good as Ensworth, but i think there close.

Bowling Green returned four starters this year. They will return eighteen starters next year. I think they are trying to beef up their schedule by playing some out of state teams. Our freshmen and JV played Brentwood Academy from Nashville this year and I'm hoping they can work it out to play varsity next year. I don't think anyone in the state will touch them next year.

Mr. Lambert, I read some of your post from time to time and you my friend are clueless. Bowling Green is really good, but they are not even close to being in the same league as Enswoth. Don't let your hatred of Catholic blind you to reality. Bowling Green may beat LC, but it will be a good game. Have you even seen Bowling Green play or just voicing your hope that Catholic gets beat? Good Luck to both teams! Should be a great tune up for the playoffs. Both teams will be better because of this game.

I mean no disrespect, but to be honest, Ensworth beat down Lex Cath, by what 50 something?
The rest of the teams you mentioned arent half as good as BG.
Other than Trinity, there isnt a team in the state that could beat BG. Highlands may be the only other team to give them a close game....

I think you'll find BG is closer to Ensworth level than they are Lex Cath, and dont be shocked if BG beats Lex Cath just as bad.

In saying the above you are saying that BG is much better than the Elder team that Highlands just went toe to toe with. I really, really doubt BG is anywhere near the team Elder is and if Highlands had a chance late in that game to win it, then the can and probably would beat BG.

You need to read the post i didn't say BG was as good as Ensworth i said they were close.meaning i think Ensworth would be 14 to 17 point favorite over BG IMO.don't let your love for Lex cath blind you, if you think this game is gonna be close you my friend are clueless.the only time it will be close is at the opening kickoff, and if Boyle co.was playing BG i'd say the same thing.IMO Bowling Green is another league compared to Boyle county, and Lex Cath.
