#1
A big district game in 4A as Ashland 8-1 travels to Johnson Central
7-1. Thoughts ans predictions on this game.
#2
JC wins in a nail biter 27- 21

This game is gonna be the biggest game in the state.

JC and A-Town battle it out for the district championship. The Nest is gonna be rockin'!!! I can't wait..... This is what high school fottball is all about.

Ashland usually brings a good crowd. JC fans will probably start lining up for tickets late Tuesday night (lol).
#4
This is gonna be a classic
#5
Always a fun one since Matney took over at Johnson Central. I will take my Tomcats in a close one though.

I might roll over to JC to watch this game if I don't go watch my Hornets play Morgan County. Cause this is gonna be one heck of a football game.

I think the fans from Knox Central and Russell Co. might disagree.Should be a great night in 4a football. Good luck to all teams.

I must say the young guys did very well filling in for the guys who were knicked up this week. Hopefully having success on a Friday night will breed confidence in this group. That being said Ashland should be back to full strength as most of the guys were out as precautionary measures. This is probably the first time these 2 teams mirror each other as both like to play a physical football game. I think JC has the better stable of backs but Ashland is better along the defensive side of the ball. The main thing for the cats will be to read there keys and don't over pursue to Allow for any huge cutbacks. If they can do that and hold JC to 3-4 yards a carry they should be able to win this ball game.

If JC gets 3 or 4 yards per carry I like our chances.

You hope you can hold them to that on average. And stop them on third down 2 or 3 times throughout the game. The running attack is too good to shut down. You just gotta contain the big play. If you let JC get momentum on there home field things can and will spiral on you quickstyle. But this will be the best defense the eagles have faced all year so we shall see if the tomcats are up to the task.

What is the history between these teams, head to head?

I believe Ashland leads the all time series. But matney is 5-2 vs the tomcats during his stint with the Golden eagles

Should be a good game, I stick with JC until someone in the district takes them down.

Looking forward to the results of this game. Russell Co has done what they are suppose to do and stayed unbeaten against a very bad schedule. Let's see what they can do against a team that is probably the best of the teams they have played yet this year.

Ashland is the defending district champ? Or do you Just mean someone in the district this year.

Should be a good game Ashlands D should be the difference in this game. I really don't think size will be much of a factor haven't seen jcc but I hear there big like ironton an belfry. Both teams we handled even though we lost To ironton they struggled to move the ball on Ashland Except for those big plays. If Ashland keeps the big plays at bay I think we win by couple tds if not could be a shootout.

I don't think anyone is gonna outmuscle Ashland. But the closest comparable speed were gonna see out of the backfield was belfry. Which I think we did a good job against really the big plays in the passing game and long sustained drives hurt is in that game. I don't really remember them busting one on us. But this JC team is a whol different animal than the one we saw last season. Should be a high intensity, hard hitting football game. I wouldn't miss it for the world

I think you are wrong. I think the Knox Central defense is the best they see all year

I haven't got to see JC this year, but I did make it to the Ashland Belfry game and this Ashland team is physical. Number 60 will lay the wood to ya. If JC can prevent the big play, then I'm sure they have a good chance of winning this one. If not for three big plays and a slew of leg cramps by the Ashland defense Belfry was starting to wear on them with there size. That's a big if though, Ashland has several play makers and the QB throws a pretty ball. With that being said I like Ashland in a close one.
Ashland 28

Better get there early! The line for the Ironton game was backed to the plaza!

It should be a great game but if JC does not turn it over they should win! I haven't seen ACC play this year but it should be a dandy!
