good win for campbell, but im surprised dixie had a lead in this one

Campbell fumbled twice in the 1st half and Dixie turned both into TDs...In the 2nd half the other Dixie team showed up and Campbell capitalized.

^ It was a rough half for the Camels, one that the Colonels took advantage of. The Camels were impressive in the 2nd half. Similar to last weeks game against Simon Kenton. I just don't think they can play this way in the next 2 weeks and come out unscathed. The absence of Walsh is really going to affect this team.

Wow; sounds like a great second half for the Camels!!
Congratulations on your victory.

Did Campbell bust a couple long runs or did they go to the air to catch up? Shame about Walsh, don't know how bad he's hurt. Young man is a good player.

^ From what I hear, he may be back for the playoffs. He's out with a rib injury

It was a good 2nd half by the Camels, but it was a BAD 1st half. Camels just cannot keep spotting teams points in the first half! They really need to get the first half turnovers corrected going into next week. Hopefully Fall Break gives them the relaxed time to instill discipline in game starts!

Campbell Co came out really flat the first half. It was hard to watch them. Whatever Coach Lickert said to them at half worked because they were ready to play come the 2nd half. I agree they cannot play like they have the past 2 games against Ryle and Boone but for now, they need to take one game at a time and go from there. I will say one thing though, at times they are fun to watch!

Yes they did, Alex Howard had a big run and Jake Zabonick had a TD reception from CCHS 1 yard line (I am not sure of the correct terminology on this one, CCHS had the ball on their 1 or 2 yard line and Zabonick caught it on about the 20 or so yard line and ran it in from there). It actually could have been intercepted by Dixie but I am not sure what the defensive guy was doing as Jake had to come back to the ball and once he caught it he beat everyone down the field.

I do hope Walsh is okay.

^ Dixie is awful, and in the 2nd half they proved. I'm the first to say, don't talk down of your opponent because it takes away from your victory, but this should not have been a game. But again, in the 2nd half, each team showed up and played exactly as you would have expected the other to play!

Yes, Flat is exactly how I would put it. I have to give it to Coach Lickert, he certainly does not allow his teams to give up! Tonight was a great example of that. Fun, whew, when this team is ON, they can light up Alexandria!

I'm the first to say no to that! nicker:
This was a good bounce back in the second half for Campbell. They are a pretty solid team, as proven with this comeback win and the win over SK the other week.

^ Now beat SK was something to go down in the anals of "Greatest Wins of All Time"! Or at least I'm going to let hop know that....hehehehehe

Durham threw the ball better than I was expecting. Don't get me wrong; he doesn't have the arm that Bir, Bolin, etc. do. But adequate enough. Dixie players played hard, but they are very young. They tried to tackle Durham at the shoulder pad level and he was just too strong. Dixie actually got nice pressure on him. Dixie will be fine in a couple of years if the kids keep buying in to the program.

Duhram played tough. He has to play that way for the camels to win. Tyler went out and Avery Wood stepped in and they did well with Wood.
Walsh has a bruised lung. He should be fine by the Louisville Ballard game but may stay out until the playoff.
The first half was the half of mishaps. Durham fumbled. Meyers fumbled. Both in Dixies territory. Wood dropped a pass in the end zone with no one around him. No one for 30 yards. He just dropped it.
Dixie is young and is better than some.
