Who will Highlands play in the state semis?
#1
This round looks to be the second toughest matchup in the playoffs for highlands. One of probably only two playoff games that won't involve a running clock. In the other region, Boyle looks to be the favorite right now. But Russell county I have heard about, and lex cath is unknown now with the injury situation. What are your thoughts?

Without Bolin, LexCath goes from being the favorite to making it a 4 team race between them, Boyle Co., Russell County, and Knox Central. I think Russell County has the offense to get them there
#3
got to get by cov cath rematch first. one game at a time (for the players) ...
cov cath is good and will have something up their sleeve. minus their sp teams blunders round one is very close.

id say boyle tops lex cath in their rematch, so boyle.

it would be interesting to see highlands and boyle again since they had the birds in the ropes the first half. wonder if they've gotten in better shape endurance wise.

With Lex Cath superstar out, that region of course is now wide open. Boyle Co is my clear favorite just because they are battle tested by playing a tough schedule like Highlands, John Hardin, Lex Cath ( maybe twice ), Collins and Danville.

do you not realize that lex catholic has already beaten Boyle Co. without their "superstar". Lex. Cath. was down 14-6 when Kyle went out of the game. The backup qb was able to lead the team to a 24-21 victory. In addition there were two other lex. cath. starters knocked out of the game by half time and they still won. So why is Boyle now the favorite?

I understand that pops. Believe me I am a Catholic fan and would love to see Lex Cath make it to Bowling Green this season. Just stating that fact that when I team loose their star/ leader, it's tough. I hope Letton will have these boys ready and with Reese Ryan having 3-4 games under his belt as a starter, he will be ready for the playoffs. But you have to be honest, it will be tough. Boyle Co will be seeking revenege, I heard that Russell Co and Knox Central is good. I really hope that Catholic will be traveling to FTH for the semis and it is do-able.

why make this thread you need to get a life highlands may not make the state semis nothing is guaranteed and especially since u have a very good team in covington catholic that you only beat by two touchdowns in your region you need to show more respect you also have ashland johnson central rowan county in your region you never know what could happen not saying it will but i would love to see the roast of you and wideleft on here if/when highlands gets beat

No i don't agree. In a rematch i don't believe the results would be any different. Reese is quite capable of leading the team, at full stength, to another win over Boyle. The team will miss Klye and his leadership, but there is enough talent on the team to continue on their winning streak. They will win the games they are suppose to win either way. By the way I am not your pop so don't refer to me in that manner. That is disrepectfull.

:biglmao: I hope ur right brother. I have no ties to Lex Cath other than me being Catholic in faith and a fan. As far as what to call you or not to call you, sorry you feel that way. Perhaps don't have a call sign of grandad.

Rowan Is a non factor. Highlands biggest challenge will come from within the region from either Cov Cath or the winner of the Ashland-JC game. State semis is a slam dunk for whatever team comes out of our region I do believe even If it isn't highlands for once I think you are correct.

I will say Knox Central

I feel sure that the only threat to FTH from the region is CovCath. I have seen nothing to indicate that anyone from the other district is even a remote threat. Still, you take all opponents seriously.

Idk how much of a fight our district would put up either highlands is really good. I do feel that Ashland and JC are better than Lex Cath(without bolin) Boyle,Russell County, and Knox. So I still think the regional final will be highlands toughest test even if it isn't Cov Cath. Now how tough there toughest test will be remains to be seen.

It is wide open this season with the likes of Lexington Cath. Boyle Co.,Russell Co.,and Knox Central in the mix.And if Highlands can get by Covington Cath, which is no easy task,if not then there won't be a Highlands vs whoever.
#17
I would watch out for clay county!
