A little off topic, but I loved Whitley's jerseys last week.
Heard Black comment that when the informed Russell of there "special only" jerseys, Russell Athletics is actually taking one of Whitley's jerseys to try and sell more like it.
They said they have not sold any jerseys like it on the eastern part of the United States.
The stealth look is definitely awesome. To bad it will be the white jerseys this week. I love all 3 different combinations of our home jerseys.

All bias aside, Im not sure ive seen a kid as big as Bryant take a footbal and look like a running back, but even more scary is when you see him at the LB position running down hill toward your RB.
Come too the Game Friday Night ans you will also see one on the Somerset Side, Tevin Slaughter 6' 235 4.7 in 40. He playes DL I think your QB will know him pretty well after Game.lol

Who all recruiting him? Thats awesome time. There were only 2 fb's and 4 tight ends in NFL combine that ran faster than that this year.
I know Bryand has officially visited Furman, Wooford, WKY last weekend and Eastern 1 weekend to come.

You can pretty much take this with a grain of sand.....LOL...this is from the guy (before jumping ship) that said McCreary would win 7 or 8 games last year. :hilarious:

Do you have a picture of them? I would love to see them. I love their red ones.

Slaughter has visited all of the in state schools, camped at UL and they really liked him there. He is a 6'0 235 lb FB/DL, however at the next level he will more than likely be an outside backer. He runs in the mid to high 4.7's, and is a very tough runner who doesn't get solo tackled often. He is better defensively where he leads the team in tackles with 70 through 5 games (he is the brother of all state defensive end Trey Slaughter who also had offers to play at UL but was unable to do so academically). Tevin is a 400 lb bench presser and a 690 lb squatter (please question me on these things and I'll take him to your local gym, he's the strongest player to ever play at SHS). He is a very good player who can break decent runs occasionally but is better suited as a blocking full back ala John Connor.

Weren't* (I had to do it)
I was talking about more of the return game side of special teams (kick and punt returning) in this current thread that had the advantage over Whitley. Return game has never been a problem for somerset, but one of our best weapons even going back several years ago when John Cole was around, we've always had spectacular return guys (Cole, Wilson, and now Cheuvront and Lange) what is has been lacking in the first half of this year is the Technical aspects like dumpster diving said. There's always room for improvement though, even in the return game.

Thats it!
It's pretty cool to know that youve got the only type of jerseys in this part of the country.
The flat black helmets kind of give it the ultimate stealth look

That is really awesome! But like you said, these jerseys are great!

Those jerseys are pretty sweet.

The Slaughter boy is a beast. I have watched him over the years and him and Bryant had some great games against each other in middle school and last year. I wish both boys luck Friday and for the years to come no matter what college they choose to attend. :trolldad2:

These 2 could easily be teammates next year as could a few more in 3, 4 years and some could be in the same foxhole defending our country. I guess sometimes we really forget how these GAMES aren't really that important.

I think Whitley rolls in this one...
however, I've not gotten a good look at the Briar Jumpers this year.

If you have not had a good look at Jumpers, how can you pick Whitley Co. over the #1 rated team in 2A? Don't give me that 5A over 2A Crap. Somerset has played 2 5A Schools and beat both. I think it will be 3 after Friday night. Good Luck to Both and may both come out Healthy for the Start of District Play next week.

I'll go to grammar camp next summer nicker: (had to also)
Wish both teams good luck tomorrow night and the rest of the season.

IMO, this is about an even a matchup as you can get! Should be a great game to watch and I would expect to see a big crowd at this one. I am going to go with the Briar Jumpers in this one and the final score of this one will definitely be separated by less than a TD!

As a Black Bear fan.....I am sold on Whitley....I will take Whitley by at least two TD's.

How is the injury report looking for tomorrow night?
Whitley by all accounts seems to be healthy except for a couple of little things Bryant is dealing with.
Hope all the Somerset kids get to play!

If it continues to rain I will take Whitley 21-14, if the rain holds off I think it is anyone's ballgame.
