Of note:
SC's young RB O'Connor left the game with an apparent ankle injury and did not return. Let's hope it is minor.

Sounds like pure physical domination.
Extra points seem to be a real area of inconsistancy for Belfry this year.

Better get ready for the kitty cats in a couple of weeks. Pirates need a test.

Tough outing tonight for the Cards.. First hats off to belfry you guys look like a well tuned machine just rolling on. Cards have a tough battle next week that they need to get healthy for as we are banged up after this week.

Fball - no doubt Belfry fans have to be eagerly awaiting Oct. 5.

That they do. Ashland has to be a significant favorite right now, although I think Belfry would probably be favored over Johnson Central as of right now.
The positive is the Pirates have absolutely manhandled teams that they were supposed to who could have potentially gave them some issues. I don't think you would consider Pburg, SC, and Pikeville "bad" teams, but by no means are they worhty of being deemed "good" teams.

They are all down compared to the past.

The kitty cats are on a different level than JC this year.

Way to go Pirates. Heck of a game. Keep layin the wood to those who stand in the way. Taylor once again done a good job stepping in for Sani. Good to know he can run the offense in the running game.
09-22-2012, 12:33 AM
I thought that SC would give us a little better game tonight,at least for one half...WRONG! Pirates had very little trouble moving the ball on offense, and our "D" layed down alot of big hits tonight. Good job boys, just keep your goals set high. Hard to believe that half of the regular season is finished. Don't let these easy games get to your heads. Stay focused till the end. You guys can do it, proud of our pirates.

Well, well, sounds like a repeat of last season. Congratulations Belfry and Coach Heywood on another very good Belfry team.

with scores like this the last 3 wks,may not be good for the starters(good for reserves)i know coach would want way more games to be alot tougher, they will diff get one from Ashland for the starters to play the whole game in 2 wks.. hope there ready..

belfry way too much for the cards. up front was all belfry. justin johnson is definetly best back i have seen this year by far. and he has proved he can run the ball against anybody even henry clay 170 yds 2 tds.but you know what they say speed kills and that belfry boy has got is.:flame:

I have been and will continue to be a Belfry fan for years to come but I am so sick of reading posts like this concerning only 1 player. Granted, Justin is a nice young man and a great ball player but he is NOT Belfry Football TEAM. He is ONE part of a finely tuned engine.
Justin has had some great games so far this year and I pray will continue to play with no injuries and finish this season out with an amazing finish. He however is NOT the only RB or player for that matter who can run the ball. I know several that can make a TD as long as the line is blocking and doing what they are supposed to do. Speed is a great asset to have and always a plus but without his line blocking for him would he be scoring at will? Kudo's to ALL the players on the field AND sidelines from years past to current ones. YOU are what makes Belfry football what it is along with the great coaching and knowledge instilled in you every single day. Please Bojangles, open your eyes and see that yes, while Justin a good player, he isn't on the field by himself!

Bojangles was just making an observation. No need to get upset over that. he was just stating johnson is a heck of a back. We all know that there are other players on Belfrys team and belive me mo one has for got about that. the rest of the back field is just as good minus the speed that Johnson has. Any one of them can score on any given play as long as the blocks are made.

The Cards are not that bad, it's just the Pirates are that good. 3A will be something to watch this year when the regionals start.

Cards are still a few years off but this young core of players will be fun to watch for the next few years to come.

I disagree....Belfry is definitely an above average football team, but there isn't a team in Pike, Letcher, Martin, Lawrence, Floyd, Perry, and Johnson counties worth a hoot right now except for Belfry, JC, and Hazard.

Pirates are looking STRONGER each week! Could this be the year!
