Redhounds put up a good fight tonight.

Corbin managed the game plan very well tonight. They contained Danville's offense with the exception of a few big plays. But once again they shot themselves in the foot with penalties. As I said in the prediction thread Corbin could pull this one out, but not with as many penalties as they had.

Corbin has lost like 3 games by a td.

So close everytime.
#6
congrats to Danville, does Corbin make it a game when they play Bell? or even beat them?
#7
I was listening to the game on the radio and they said Corbin had 11 false starts many of which were 2nd and 4 or 3rd and 4. Also had a big first down catch called back because of a holding penalty during the final drive in Danville territory.

1-3 doesn't look good but there have been signs of growth each week. Also, the competition has gradually gotten tougher so hopefully it prepares the Hounds for District. Danville is the real deal this year. A loss is never good but you can take momentum from it.

Corbin has to clean up all the illegal procedure penalties, the record could easily be 3-1 or even 4-0, but the real season starts in a couple of weeks, so they still have time to have a really good season.

So is Corbin as good as Boyle?
#10
I did not hear the Nantz kid, who gained around 100 yds last week in his first start, mentioned at all tonight. Was he out?

I believe so, or atleast i think so if its that same kid. Use to play at Whitley before transferring this year. Just middle school football i believe. But, as i said, i could be wrong or may be another kid im thinking about.

What was the reason for not playing tonight?

Danville and Somerset are my favs for 2A, only 1 can get there.
#17
Danville had a huge let down tonight huh? They should bounce back next week and play a whole lot better.

Nantz did play his middle school ball at Whitley County. He enrolled at Corbin in the Spring of his 8th grade year. So he has played both his freshman and sophomore season at Corbin. Just Imagine that Whitley Backfileld in Middle School was Nantz, Jefferson Patrick, and the Mills boy.

Mills is a year younger. Nantz and Patrick quit and went to Corbin 8th grade year. Patrick after 1 practice and Nantz mid way through season even though he was hurt. Nantz and his cousin trnsfered when other Patrick quit and left. The big E might have been recruiting.Confusedhh:

You dont have to tell me.

We could of had some hellacious teams at Whitley over the years if we didnt have so many boys leaving for Corbin and Wburg.

Bad thing is, im not sure i can name one kid who transferred in to Whitley from either of those schools that have actually helped.
Wburg seems to always be good for one Whitley player a year and it use to be Corbin.

If you think about it, had they all stayed, your looking at Sizemore of wburg, Patrick, Nants, together with the young guys weve got like Mills and Ysidro and so on.....we'd be loaded, but thats how Whitleys luck has always run.

Not sure how all this happens Confusednicker:
