Based on what I have read in this thread it seems the jurisdiction of the KHSAA does not extend to Perry Central

I do wanna say to the PCC fans....

They had a moment of silence for a student that died this past week, not sure of the circumstances, but competition aside, the thoughts and prayers of the Golden Eagle nation are extended to you.

Yeah, but it's a long drive to watch Highlands beat down some western saps again. Not like any other 4A school will ever find the way either.

On the flip side, when Perry goes on the road they get the same exact treatment from the refs as Johnson Central did last night. In basketball, football, tiddly-winks, marbles, etc. Perry is well taken care of in the friendly confines of Airport Gardens or John C Combs Arena, but if they even go down the street they have a bulls-eye on their chest.

Thank you for making Johnson County look like redneck hillbillies. The word "retarded" is not appropriate.

Well my undefeated season talk has definately been shattered but I will say that I am proud of my boys from Perry Central for never giving up. They played their hearts out. As for Johnson Central, you guys just reload every year. Your team looked awesome. Keep up the good work Eagles and Commodores keep your heads up, we are proud of you guys. You'll get some W's soon enough.

I wasnt at the game but spoke with several people who were and yes I heard the refs were horrible as always at PCC but all that aside, everyone I spoke with said PCC had by far the best athletes on the field and they felt that if PCC had opened up the passing game early in the game this one could have gone the other way. I was told JC secondary was no math for PCC and the PCC athletes just ate them up, but at the same time JC dominated the line of scrimmage and had much more size. Two tough losses for PCCto start the year but man this has to be one of the best 0-2 teams in the state.

PCC has a couple of guys in Beatty and Pray who will be probably be the two best athletes on the field in just about every game PCC plays in. Beatty has a chance to take it to the house every time he touches the football.

Congrats to Johnson Central, their offensive and defensive lines were very impressive and Dillion was a monster running the football. Perry looked pretty good offensively and I think they are improving every week. As far as the officiating, zaga said it best earlier. Keep your head up Commodores, and good luck to Johnson Central the rest of the way.

We've talked a lot about the officiating, but in the grand scheme of things, the biggest call of the game was the one that brought back Beatty's kick return.

I was waiting for someone to talk about this because I have heard so much about it. Man I wish I was there... But I cant complain I was at the Pburg and Sheldon Clark game and that one was a great one as well

I'd say the ref on PCC's side that threw the flag is still kicking himself in the rear because that was the only one he threw against PCC. After 4 blocks in the back and two holdings so bad that Ray Charles could see it, he had no choice but to throw it. If they only would've avoided tackling that defender at midfield, I'm sure he would've let it go.

He may have lost his mind, but according to WYMT Sports OT Wall2Wall stats are correct.

I'm not trying to be a smart ass or anything, but where did you get your stats from? Where you at the game & keep up with them or what? WYMT could be wrong, but i would assume they get there stats from someone keeping stats at the game.

I'm not trying to stir up trouble. I'm just curious to the discrepancy in the stats since it is a large one.

I checked on KHSAA, because WYMT's stats sounded a little fishy to me.

Here's the numbers that Perry Central submitted themselves as the game stats:

Austin Pray: 17 carries, 115 yards, 2 TDs
13-26 passing, 236 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT

Still a very good game but not QUITE 600+ yards of total offense.
#59
Thanks for the info Diogenes. Not over 600 total yards of offense, but still one hell of a game in the stats column. Kid is no doubt a player.
#60
I listen to wsip and got the stats. no problem here!
