Pulaski County, Somerset, and Southwestern will all face off on the gridiron

That's because you only wanted to see Johnny's version of "the truth". In 2006 Southwestern opened the season vs Danville at Danville Somerset HAD to reverse the schedule to accomodate that fact. And that "loaded" Southwestern team that Somerset was trying to avoid went 7-5...they weren't anything that the Jumpers were scared of.

I don't know how many seniors "contributed" in 2004, but SHS was ranked in the top 10 pre-season, and was a 3 TD favorite over PC that night. That was the night Jay Cobb made his famous quote, "If I ever lose to a county team again, I'll quit." He then promptly lost to SWHS in 06, and PC again in 07. Your memory is fantasy.

His collar bone was broken, how is that not taking him out of the game. If you remembered the play it happened you would understand why I said 'took him out'. He had 300+ passing at the half before being injured on the last play before halftime. And I don't know where you are making these assumptions about the 2004 game. PC was the clear favorite in that game. And it was four seniors on that Somerset team, just like I said.

That '06 team at SW went 9-4 on the year! Be glad the Jumpers played that SW team early in the year and not later!

I don't understand the point you're trying to make. SM said that Somerset was trying to avoid playing a loaded SW team in 2005. The 2005 team went 7-5. If Somerset were trying to avoid a SW team in that span it would have been the 2006 team, and Somerset played them to a 6 point game and would have won if they hadn't dropped a sure pick six late in the game.

Well at least Jay Cobb was a man of his word, he did quit twice

Well, last night was 2012. How did that work out for the county school?

Wait, wait! I know this one!

"Things that Southwestern fans say after the Jumpers spank that @#%."

Now I'll take "Potent Potables" for $500, Alex.

Who cares who did what when? The admin knows this is where the money is and with all the budget cuts they need money. No travel expence=win, big gate=win, fans dont have to travel=win. Sounds like a win, win situation!

Right, and 48-2 equals . . . well, um . . . hmmm.

Anyway, a "financial win-win" is certainly worth a resounding and confidence-shattering ass-whooping, huh?

From this point on, Southwestern's football team will steadily and predictably unravel this falll. Watch it happen.

But I agree. I mean, if high school sports isn't driven by the almighty dollar and ultimate convenience for those who don't even play, then what good is it, right?

Sw is a basketball school now. Andy is the whipping boy. Wright gets his way now.
