Johnson Central 44, Perry Central 36
#1
Final from Perry County.
#2
Congratulations, Golden Eagles!

First off.... Let me say (again in this thread) it was nice getting to meet Zaga_Fan at the game.

2nd.... The Referee's are gonna need to ice down there elbow's after this game. I've been to alot of different football stadiums/games and seen alot of "home cooking", but this was probably the most obvious attempt to alter a game by refereeing. It's bad when Perry fans are talking about how the refs were calling for them. A few fans stopped me and apologized for how bad it was tonight.

3rd.... This was an excellent game by both teams. JC did what JC does.... run the ball. Early in the season, Perry Cent. wasn't going away... PCC could pass all over the field, JC made some big plays when the needed to. Hostile crowd was rockin'.... had the feel of a playoff game.... but JC kept their head and they won.

Don't really know what to make of this score.

Figured JC would win by more, and figured their defense would give up less. According to Sports Overtime PCC had to be over 600 yards of offense based on the Pray's stats alone.

Always a tough place to get a win for sure,,, but sort of surprised at the fashion they had to do it.
#5
Eagles are 2-0! Congrats!
#6
Surprised it was this close.

I assume the JC fans are going to tell us about the refs?

Either way good win for JC.
#7
Did JC air it out as usual?? That is a joke.
#8
Just got home. Being a Central fan, every time I got close to leaving Hazard, the refs threw a flag on me and made me go back to the parking lot and start over.

After every team plays PCC at home, the same things are said.
If its really this bad every time PCC gets a home game, why hasnt anything been done?
#12
was that the middle school refs or mow larry and curley and the one in the white hat look like he was directing school tracif he trew so many flags better by him a arm rub say is pretty sore
#13
Was told Dillon went off in this one

I think WSIP had him with 5 TD, 116 yards.

After the first few possessions - both of these teams got on a roll and it was simply going to come down to who had the ball with enough time to score last. Austin Pray made some big plays and showed that he is ready to lead this team. But the loss of #24 at middle linebacker has absolutely destroyed this team. Whitley and Harlan will run the ball at will on Perry if they don't figure something out on defense.

I don't think anyone could have sat through this game and think that it was called right down the middle.

Johnson Central did get there share of calls. A lot of offsides were called on the Commodores and I thought I saw some movement that started a couple (but not all) of them. Perry Central did get the calls at more critical points. Some of the stuff you have to call - there was a pass interference call early where a kid simply shoved a kid in the back. There was a roughing the kicker call on a punt that was pretty blatant.

However, the last few minutes and the last couple of drives seemed like it all went PCC's way. As a matter of fact, the last play was with 0.0 seconds on the clock because of a phantom pass interference call. There was a 4th down on the last drive when a flag was thrown as the ball was snapped but when Perry Central got the first down it was picked back up. There were some holding calls that stalled the drive before Perry Central tied the game up - and at one point it looked like the refs were going to take away a down from the Golden Eagles.

On Johnson Central's winning drive, 20 of the last 22 yards were given to them via penalty (not that they wouldn't have gotten them anyway).

Just a game with a lot of flags in general. But PCC definitely got the edge.

Much respect for saying so.

Congrats on making all of Johnson County look like they're retarded once again.

Zach Gound has a definite presence on the field. He's a leader. Young was a ball carrying fool! He looked good on both sides of the ball. Brad Auxier dominated. Matt Hall was a beast as usual. Nice catches by Compton. Dalton Adkins had a great game. All our boys looked good.

Perry Central's #4 would be unstoppable if he had blockers.

As far as officiating...they kept Perry in the game. I heard "automatic first down" more times than I could keep up with to count. They should all be fired. They are there to protect our kids and call a fair game. That will never happen at Perry Central.

I think its pretty safe to say....Perry won't play us next year.

Sounds like neither team have much of a D.

Neutral field...

One thing I can say.....

Perry Central does have the loudest cannon I've ever heard.

First time it was fired, this was my expression -----> :yikes: :bigeyed:

I thought that after the Highlands Accident a few years ago that the KHSAA had outlawed cannons.

Perry got the breaks at homw last week Pburg got the calls to keep them in it every time perry ran a big play in the second half at Pburg here come the flags, last night Perry got the breaks when you go on the road you just about have to be a touchdown better team to win on someone elses field. last year JC got the break at home. so when you play on the road you have to get over that.
#30
Dillon was a beast last night. Belcher and Gound also had some nice plays as well. I've said it and I'll say it again, I really like this JC team and I think they will keep getting better. Go Eagles!!!
