Johnson Central at Perry Central (Updates)
#1
Johnson Central takes opening kickoff, goes 68 yards in 7 plays. Dillon 1 yd TD, then two pt conversion throw good. 8-0, Golden Eagles, 9:21 left in 1st quarter.
#2
Can anyone give me a link so I can listen or watch the game on line
#3
www.wsipfm.com - Paintsville station radio feed.
#4
Johnson Central gives up a fourth down with a roughing the punter penalty, then forces a turnover on downs by stopping a Pray keeper.

Eagle ball again, on the move.
#5
Another Josh Dillon 1 yard TD. Overcame a holding penalty near the goal line to punch it in.

Problems on getting organized for both extra points so far. JC has just used its third time out of the first half for this conversion.

Belcher runs it in for two.

3:47 left in 1st quarter. Johnson Central 16, Perry Central 0.

Good thing the Commodores came out fired up for this one, or it could get ugly fast!
#6
PCC drive kept alive by a pass interference call on fourth down. WSIP radio crew described it as a little questionable. 50 yards in penalties in first quarter against JC. Interesting.

Pray 1 yard TD keeper.

Robinson stopped at the line on the conversion, no good.

1:12 left in 1st quarter, 16-6 JC.
#7
End of 1st quarter.

Dalton Adkins with a one-handed grab from Gound to set up the Eagles 1st and 10 at Perry's 25.

JC 16, PCC 6.
#8
Josh Dillon scores his third touchdown of the game, this one a four yard run for the Eagles.

This time, the two point conversion run no good by Dillon.

10 minutes left in 2nd quarter: JC 22, PCC 6.

Pray (I think) carries it in for four yards. He kept several times for big gains on that drive.

PCC kicks (?) down 9? Kick good. No clue about that. Haddix must have one of those inscrutable NFL extra point strategy cards...

JC 22, PCC 13.
#10
JC 22, PCC 13 at the half.
#11
JC brought a nice crowd..... PCC needs a visitors side bleacher

JC 22, PCC 13.

Maybe PCC just wanted to break the ice. That's their first extra point in 6 tries this season.

You can look at PCC's gym and compare it to their football field and see exactly where their priorities are.

Scarred for life.....

7:15 in the 3rd. JC stops PCC on their opening possession of the half. Then takes it down the short field after the punt. Jordan Young with a four yard TD run.

Two point conversion pass overthrown.

JC 28, PCC 13.
#17
Wow! Well hopefully the Commodores can get this turned around!

Fugate catches a halfback pass from Beatty for the touchdown.

Pray to Brewer for the two point conversion.

Now JC 28-21 with 3:23 in the 3rd. Both teams seem to have lost interest in playing any defense, although the constant stream of penalties may have something to do with that.
#19
JC's Dillon scores his fourth TD of the night, this one from 2 yards. He's up to 90 yards.

Going for two - Dillon takes it on the ground.

JC 36, PCC 21, with 0:49 left in 3rd quarter.
#20
Pray completes a TD pass. Didn't catch the receiver; am doing these updates at work.

Pray to little Pray for the conversion.

JC 36, PCC 29.
#21
What a game. Sounds like PCC is doing a lot better this week even though they're still trailing.
#22
JC stopped about the PCC 15 with the help of a very timely holding call. There've been several of those tonight.
#23
86 yard TD from Pray to Beatty. As you'd expect.

XP kick good.

6:04 left in the game. 36-36.

Sigh.
#24
Look at that. Another holding call on a big gainer by Belcher. This is getting comical. Reminds me of when JC went and played at Tolsia a few years ago.
#25
nail biting time???
#26
Dillon carries for 20 yards. Up to 112 yards for him now.

No flags!

3:15 to go, Eagles driving.
#27
Gah playing at Tolsia was always ridiculous...
#28
Dillon carries for his FIFTH touchdown of the night, to go along with 116 yards.

1:20 left in the game.
#29
The flags will start flying JC not going to get out of here a winner
#30
Two point conversion good! Pass down the middle caught.

JC 44, PCC 36.
