From the pictures that Dusty posted, the Bobcats seem to have some good size for a 3A team.

We do. Our Oline is real big this year.

^BellCoBobcats, what can we do to renew the Rock-Bell series? I miss those games.....except for the times that Rock didn't win, lol.

bell co is a good football team but to say best team in the mountains is very wrong yes johnson central beat belfry the last game of season. but with a depleated squad trying to get healthy for playoffs. everything is not what it seems.belfry would have beaten bell the last two years i know off. so get off ur high horses untill them two teams meet it just spectulations maybe bell will get by central this year and get that chance

Maybe in 2011 but there is no way they could of in 2010. And notice I said maybe.

I agree FWIW.
2010 Belfry caught lightning in a bottle, but Bell County would have beat them IMHO. That was just a Belfry team who peaked at the right time. FWIW, Bell wouldn't have defeated Central that year either though, but I don't think they would have gotten blown out like Belfry did.
Last year I would have given the slight edge to Belfry because I think they were a more complete team and protected the football much better than last year's Bell County squad.
Over the past decade:
2011- Belfry very slight
2010- Bell County fairly clear
2009- Bell County clearly
2008- Bell County fairly clear (Bell won the title but that Belfry team was dominant until Breathitt shocked them)
2007- Belfry clearly
2006- Belfry slight (One of the weakest Bell teams, Belfry made Semi's but this wasn't an especially strong Pirate team)
2005- Belfry slight (Overachieving Pirate team. Both got crushed by Henry Clay, Belfry got red hot and came a false sart away from defeating and Russell and probably winning their 3rd straight title)
2004- Belfry fairly clear (Bell only lost one game aside from nearly upsetting Highlands, but they lost to a Pburg team Belfry beat twice)
2003- Belfry clear. Only comparison is they both lost to Boyd County, but Belfry was in Week 1 and Bell was in the 1st Round
2002- Slight Edge Bell. Neither team was all too special.

Im curious to see how other teams D will hold against the High Powered O that Cath puts out. Bell Co gave up a total of 280 yards on the night.

Bell and Harlan Co. will be a war.

I think this years game won't be nearly as close as last year, no disrespect, but judging from the Lex Cath game, if Bell starts peaking toward the end of the year how they often do, Harlan Co could have a long night.

I would like to see Bell VS. Belfry in 2013
