Maxwell Smith named Starting QB

University of Kentucky football head coach Joker Phillips announced Monday that sophomore Maxwell Smith would be the starting quarterback for the Wildcats when they meet in-state foe Louisville on Sept. 2 at Papa Johnâs Cardinal Stadium.

He will ba a fantastic quarterback he has all the raw skills. Hopefully he has worked hard in the off-season.

Question is does this lead to a red shirt for the 2 true freshmen or just one of them?

I have heard that Whitlow will be the QB in our "Wildcat" formation, and that Towles will be getting the redshirt. As for now, it's all hearsay until Joker says it.
