Actually, i root for UGA every single year since UK sucks so bad every year and will continue to do so.
If it wasnt for UK basketball, im not sure i would even like UK.
Dont tell me what to do and to get over it, because like SK said, we shouldnt have to. lol, i honestly cant believe you guys love joker, i would love to know one good quality about the guy. Should grabbed Petrino while we had the chance.

Imo, i guess we'll just have to wait and see what joker and staff does with this yrs. team. Until then, the jury is still out on him as far as i'm concerned. But what's hard to understand is about a 1/3rd. of the way through the schedule,some basketball fans can't wait for the football program to get out of the way and move on. Until this mind set changes, U.K. football will be at or near the S.E.C. cellar. I support both programs, however, It will be more of the same at this school unless football gets more consideration. jmo.

Exactly its not jokers fault recruiting is money. UK gives the football program the 11th lowest amount and we always have the #11 class. Until they give football the tools to work with we will suck. And until idiot fans will learn a little bit about the game and realise this isnt basketball you dont recruit 5 guys and suddenly be world beaters, it takes years and years to build program.

I was not happy when Joker was handed the UK job and I don't blame some fans for being upset! On the other hand, some of the fans on this site act like he has lost every game. Joker is 11-14 as head coach at UK and when you throw in the win last year vs UT and the big win vs Steve Spurrier its not all that bad. If somebody would have said to me that Joker would be 11-14 going into year 3 with wins over UT and SC, knowing the histroy of UK football I would have took it. Keep in miind that going into year 3 Rich Brooks was 6-17 and Bill Curry was 7-15 and Hal Mumme 12-11. Lots of UK fans want a "big time" coach to come in. What "big time" coach is going to come to UK and GET UGA, UF, SC AND UT every year? Remember guys Bill Curry already shined a light on that tree! IMO UK has a better chance with Joker than the ever had with Bill Curry or Hal Mumme! Curry's system was smash mouth football and what's the SEC known for???? D linemen, Hal mumme was great offensive coach but UK sucked at every other phase of the game under him, heck they couldn't even kick off past the 20 yard line. I think last season UK's staff under estimated how great R. Cobb really was and if he wld have returned for his SR season UK may have won 2 or 3 more games and Morgan Newton might have looked a little better. BTW Randal Cobb was 2 Star recruit. IMO UK should give Joker this year and next. I think he has a good system and is working on improving UK in the areas were they need to improve to step up to the next leval.

BTW Jerry Claiborne was 6-15-2 going into year 3 and Guy Morris was 9-14 after 2 years on the job, so Joker's 11-14 after 2 seasons is better than 4 out of the last 5 coachs at UK. Jerry Claiborne was considered one of the best defensive minds of his era but his best year in the SEC was 3-3. So IMO Joker has done as well as anybody else to this point. UK football is UK football and the SEC it a cold hard place!

Kids can get overlooked. No Ky isnt getting the most well known but give it a chance I think they are doing better. All Ky has to sell this program is they are in the SEC. Facilities are sub parr, dorms sub par, media coverage sub par. Dont think the the prospects we are trying to get in dont know they are playing for a basketball school. Well you want to go by recruiting stars to tell talent compared to a college recruiting staff so by your method he is guarenteed to be better than the 2-star Randall Cobb.

This is UK football we are talking bout not basketball. Joker and Staff does a good job going out finding players that can complete in the SEC. It's hard to get kids to come to play football at a basketball school but regardless of the rough season we had last season,

How about Michigan this year, they are going to be pretty darn good in basketball and the football program is back. What about Ohio St., they've done fair well in basketball the last few years, and I'd say they are a darn good football team. You can win at both in my opinion.

Basketball is a different story man no comparison between the two. Butler can compete for a title for two years, anyone can compete in basketball 5 good players is all that is needed. It takes years, and years to win in football. Look at oregon they have been building and been sucessful for 10 or so years now. But odds are they will never win the title.
